If I have a VPN do I also need proxies?

IE: If I use GScraper or Scrapebox is a VPN sufficient?

I use scrapebox all the time with a VPN. No proxies but I don't go insane with it either.

Edit: scrapebox does a lot of stuff, what are you doing exactly? If you're doing keyword research or digging up a list of sites for something, a VPN is totally sufficient.

    Yes. They're totally different.

A VPN (virtual private network) simply works by encapsulating and tunneling your IP packet (info/data) through the internet so that thieves can't read or see (or steal) your wireless info. Once it arrives at its destination, the data is processed securely and routed to you on your LAN.

You only need this if you're on a wireless connection. If you're on a wired connection (ethernet).... you don't need VPN.

Proxies only allow you to access commonly and readily information fast on a server (that contains most frequently accessed content/info), without you having to surf the internet at all (assuming you're behind a firewall on a corporate setting - or at home on your software firewall.)
