There is NO such thing as Internet Marketing... It is not a field it's just a form of marketing...

Internet Marketing = Marketing using the Internet
Online Marketing = Marketing online
Network Marketing = marketing using a network
Affiliate Marketing = marketing as an affiliate
etc...

Just find something you like and market it.

Find people who are marketing what you want to market and model them.

There is no hard and fast Rule to this.

One most common that works well for most anyone
starting this journey is building lists of interested
prospects who show some desire in your particular
field.

This generally falls under, health, wealth and fitness.

Under one of those general areas, such as wealth,
you would target specifically real estate for example.

There are good WSO's in this forum about listbuilding
you can purchase, though I suggest purchasing only
one to start with.

Above all those, I would skip the WSO's all together
and invest in personal 1-on-1 coaching from an
established member of this forum with verifiable
proof, results and satisfied clients.

Nothing will speed up your success in listbuilding
then hiring a personal coach, because for all the
WSO's you could buy on the topic, you could hire
someone who is where you want to be who will
show you the ropes step-by-step...ignoring all the
advice that may sound good in theory, but may not
be applicable to you.

The best decision I ever made was having a coach
personally teach and mentor me to perfect my craft.

I tried to do things on my own through various
books, e-courses, second hand advice, etc., and I
came to learn that most if not all the advice I
thought was critical to success had nothing to do
with my millionaire mentors success.

In fact, he did things the opposite what everyone
else was doing, including myself.

Yes, it'll cost more than you're standard WSO, but
the presonal coaching is worth it. I wish I'd done
it so much sooner. I would've saved a lot of time
AND money.

Lastly, there are subsets of marketing you can try
such as bing adwords campaigns, adsense, pay-per
-click advertising, site flipping, domain flipping,
etc. Regardless of which one you choose to focus
on, always build a list. It's critical.

If you can somehow generate traffic, you are surely going to earn big time. Free traffic takes time and a lot of effort. Paid traffic is the quickest fix and it takes a lot of money, even if you spend it wisely. But the money you spend is worth it if you have the right strategy.

If you don't know what to do, or if you don't know how to do it, please consider getting a mentor to help you. I wasted far too much time and money through not doing this myself! When I finally realized I wasn't going to get anywhere without a mentor I swallowed my pride, looked for, and found a mentor, and now, at last, I'm making progress. Good luck in all your endeavors. There are just to many answers to that question. However, there is no such thing as a system to make money online. And you should stay well away from people who are selling "systems" - In this game there is no such thing as a sure thing. What works for one may not work for another. And it can take years before you start seeing some serious cash.

First make a list of all the things that you are passionate about - although you don't necessarily have to be passionate about something it does help. Then explore the ways that you can turn that passion into money.

Explore some of the different vehicles that you can use to make money online and see which appeals to you most and which best suits your budget. For example if you don't have a lot of money to invest at the start then maybe blogging and affiliate marketing might be the way to go.

Internet Marketing can be fun and it can be difficult to know where to start. My suggestion is to start by picking a niche that interest you. Back in the day I started with a new site (ok, back in 2000) and it was a desaster. I had no idea what I was doing ;-)

I went on to create 2 forums... I failed with both and I would say that a forum today is even harder to make it work even with all the knowledge I have now ;-)

My first success came when I started blogging. But then again, blogging sure is not for everyone. You need to write and not everyone likes it or can write good enough...

I think one of the best ways to start is by creating a niche website!
Why? Because you learn the trade.
A niche website starts with the keyword research. In the process you learn how to set up a basic website, you have to create some content (but can easily outsource it if you want), you learn some stuff about testing and analyzing... and it is relatively easy to make your first $$$.

So yes... if you have no idea yet -> start with a niche site!

The best advice that, also worked for me, is: Use this forum to it`s full potential. There are lots of threads for beginners, you just need to find them.
Also, test the ideas out, trial and error. What works for a niche, may not work for another.
I know that this sounds like a cliche, but all you need is motivation and hard work.
There aren`t any shortcuts, take your time to learn, and you will see that with experience you will get an increase in sales.

So please the IM first, then you need to have a big fortune. If you are a fast learner, you will be able to learn within a short time.
