Hey guys,

I've recently build an eCommerce site, and I've been promoting my site using especially twitter. I got a lot of enthusiastic people to my site. But nope, NO ONE bought something. When I'm promoting I get 50-100 visitors a day, with out, I get around 20 visitors a day. In total I've had about 450 people visiting my site! This drives me crazy! It would be great if somebody could help me.

Several things on your site look misplaced first in the sites html bar the hostgator symbol is still there.
Second the squares on the homepage need changing as they do not stand out very well.
And also I would liven the site up a little bit it looks very dull.

Do you know how long the visitors are on your site?

I would guess they are only on the site for a few seconds then leave because of the above.

Dont mean to sound harsh just honest critique.

OP: I can only agree with Brainster. The website has a terrible design.

There is way too much to critique in one post. I'd suggest instead you be prepared to start your design from scratch, and read this as a primer: 5 Principles of Persuasive Web Design

        Question...where's the store ?
You only have a a paragraph and that's it. Am I missing something ??

Plus, Twitter is a bunch of tire kicking traffic

There's a store option at the top of the site, guess I need to improve to homepage a lot. And are tweeters tire kickers? didn't know that haha

It's my first website so I am kinda new to the whole design thingy. The site that you gave me looks very helpful, thank you for that!

I didn't notice the icon next to the address bar, I'll keep that in mind next time. I realize that the lay-out from my site could be improved a lot, this is my first site so I am figuring out everything. And it is true that people stay for like 5-10 seconds. Thank you very much for your advice ! I think I am starting all over again with the whole design for the site, since I now am a bit more skilled, I can improve the design. Do u recommend a paid theme? I used a demo theme because I don't have a lot of money right now.

The name isn't catchy. The site is slow to load and not very appealing.

Take a deep breath, visualize or sketch how you want the site to look and then try again.

I'm not very pleased with site name as well, but I already have the domain name :/ . I indeed realized the site is really slow, I have no idea why, do you think the host can be a problem? I didn't like how my site looks at all , I really underrated how much it can improve my sales! I'll start again with a fresh start!

You first have to establish what your business actually is, before you can seek a market.

          You are diluting your focus.

If you had one sentence in which to describe your company vision / intention, ask yourself what it would be and this will serve as the basis to proceed.

The Pound Shop sells everything and anything, but they sell on the basis that everything costs £1.

Even if it's price based, you really need an angle and some form of substance and direction.

You should buy a WP ecommerce theme, decided upon what products you want to specialise in and have these right in the visitors face on the main page,

That's one of the most common mistake first time marketers make.

          1. What is your target market?
          2. What does your market need the most? (haunt forums filled with peeps in your market)
          3. What are going to do for your market? How are you going to help them get what they want?

          5 STEPS TO MONEY

          1. Put your plan on paper. Pencil and paper speak directly to the brain, far more so than a keyboard.

          2. Decide on NO MORE THAN 1 product that best fills your market's needs. Do your homework. Read reviews and opinions. Keep going until you find THE BEST product available.

          3. Excite your viewers about solving their problem.

          4. Present your viewers with the solution [the product].

          5. Install an email marketing system to capture names (or not) and email addresses so you can befriend your viewers then build them up toward the NEXT product.

There. Those are the basics. NOW you can ask the forum very specific questions and/or search the Warrior Forum for answers. Every aspect of successful marketing has been addressed in the forum over the years.

@konradg i strongly suggest you learn how to run a wordpress site on your localhost, changes to the design, content e.t.c can all be made on your desktop before going live on the net, check the plugin duplicator on how to export to the web. Also benefits such as not having to use your net bandwidth on the localhost can be quite beneficial.

            Cheers
            Matt

There's nothing about your site that makes me want to buy. No headline or anything about "you" and your "company". In fact, when I land on your site, I don't even know what you sell or offer. The site needs a major overhaul, and a better marketing strategy. These are the first problems I would fix.

Firstly you need to redesign your star from scratch like my fellow warrior cause it looks like an ordinary wordpress site. No one will even take it serious cause a proper ecommerce store should look like one at the first glance. Try and make it colorful too cause that helps as well. You can find good ecommerce shop themes that you can use for your online shop.

Secondly try and focus on one market to begin with and grow it up. You can then expand when its becomes very profitable. Take for example clothes, shoes anything related to fashion.

      actually isn't common?

400 visitors don't mean you have sales.

irony some just get 10 visitors one sale appear...

I see a lot claim as usual Traffic.....

      more the better ...

just like a Shop in a shopping mall. If you see , most people go in just check around NEVER buy.

Only a few buy ....worst whole day just few sales.

So same apply for online store.

I think you should slow down. Think about what you want to do...make money or have a site you like?

If your main goal is to make money then you should base your niche and product choice on market research. Where is money being spent that you can most easily get a share of?

You say clothes or computers. Why?

Find something other people are doing that is already working. Study how they do it and then replicate their system

Look for products or services that people need, and are actively searching for. If you can find a way to get in front of some of these people with your offer there is no reason you can't make some sales.

I think the 64$ will be a great investment because my site will look 5x nicer. I've been thinking about a niche for so long, I was thinking about clothing/computer related things, because a lot of people buy them all over the world. I do realize that it isn't unoriginal at all, I think that might a problem because a lot of people sell them already. I have no idea how to do market research.

You'll need to try different traffic sources. Twitter works for some things, and not for others. Facebook works for some things, and not for others, etc..,

And don't just try social traffic. Try media buys, Adwords, Bing, YouTube. Solo Ads from quality providers, and so on. Add retargeting to that as well.

a website site that works to like you but even more to your users.
    and they should find useful.
profit depends on the content, and the beauty depends on its appearance.
it is useful to follow the trends of web design by visiting the sites more current and inspired by them.
It is important that it is clear, easy to navigate and read.

first of all you need converting target traffic and just visitors
are not sufficient.. also you need to post good content with
keyword density of 2.5% on the niche you promote
then you can see better conversions..

It means that there is a problem with your website. It is not giving the platform where the visitors can be retained. In so doing, it is always hard to have the users purchase anything from the website. Come up with special offers that will attract more and more persons to the website and they will end up making purchases. be sure also that you have a well designed website where persons dont struggle to navigate. let people spot thing on the go with less effort.

How much visitor is targeted? Targeted audience & general audience are not same. So you need to check how much the audience is targeted? If the audience is targeted, your sale rate will be high. On the other hand if the audience is general, your sales rate may low. Thanks

Firstly I cannot see anything for sale....looks like you may be redoing it.

In the past I have run several shopify stores and I would need to drive at least 50-100 unique visotors per day to get some real data.

So having 400 is not even a weeks data.

Have a look at this #TheGreatBuild - A Better Lemonade Stand
