I almost posted this in the off topic area but decided more people would see it here. I see very many newbie questions here but have yet to see anyone ask what business wise they have to do.

Meaning file in your local township for a business license like I did or where to send their income taxes or how to figure your social security taxes and where to send your social security taxes.

I wonder how many people have gotten into some kind of trouble because they didn't think about anything because they were so focused on trying to make money online that when they started making money they didn't know what they needed to do.

So I have a couple questions newbies should ask. Does any of the how to make money on line programs they can join tell them anything about tax responsibilities and business licenses. Should WF consider a section for newbies addressing most newbie concerns as well as tax and business liabilities. I know the tax thing could be difficult but think since a lot of the market comes from the US they could start there.

At least newbies could be given an idea of where to start looking for this kind of information when joining IM probrams. Mark

The WF is absolutely NOT the place to ask tax related questions. You may get a few answers, but at best they will be based upon guesswork, not genuine knowledge.

For your own safety and security, find an accountant with experience in internet based business and ask their advice.

I totally agree you on this!
All answers would be pure speculations.
Perhaps it is better to look for an accountant
that might guide you in the right direction.

When I first got started online I made a little over 30 grand in just a couple to a few months with google adsene never budgeted for the taxed and got a big tax bill after my account got shut down. Big learning process. A couple of things.

Today I look at them as perks for my business and even my home because I work out of it!

Generally, if you incorporate, you'll likely want to do quarterly tax reports...

I had an accountant handle all that for years offline, (still owe the IRS money!) and while any business owner should be aware of their tax responsibilities, local, state, or federal laws, I too agree with Annie, this forum 'is not' the place to seek legal advice or tax advice!

Sometimes... as of late, I even question if this forum is safe for people asking for marketing advice?! - lol.

People read my comment and understand it, I never meant for anyone to give tax or business advice here and never said to, As I said in my original comment point them in the right direction, like how to find out which IRS office to send in there quartly tax bill and how to estimate there taxes, same for the social security stuff. I only want newbies to be aware that they are going to have to pay income taxes and Social security taxes when they start making money. All the market places like clickbank keep records of everything you sell and turn that info into the IRS so they know everything.

You fail to realize that many of the people visiting in this forum are not from the United States. Even if they are from the United States we could only point them to the IRS because every state and locality has their own agencies for tax collection.
