Youtube Video Distribution / Syndication?

So, I'm looking at YouTube and I see many videos like this: youtu .be /9GKgHe430JA (remove the spaces) with a ton of views. I used VidIQ to check some stats and I notice that there's a lot of traffic coming from "spammy" and foreign types of domains, like muzikarama .net, ytune .pk, youtubeoff .ru, etc.

It appears that many of these with the high views also have the most outside traffic coming from these types of domains. I see this on YouTube channels that are part of a multi-channel network and those that are not.

So, my question is - what are they doing?

Are they paying for traffic? I don't think so. Many of them earn adsense revenue off the videos, so I don't think that's the case.

Are they uploading their youtube video to video sharing sites for distribution/syndication? If so, how? I don't see them sitting there doing this manually, because it would take forever and many upload several videos a week.

Are they using a service? I can halfway understand the MCN is going to get greater distribution, but what about those that aren't in a MCN?

Are they using a tool? I've looked at Traffic Geyser and the new Video Synd Alpha, which looks complicated as hell, and I still don't know why all the OTOs. I've looked at UpLoad, MediaNest, SyndWire, Hydravid, etc.

Also, is there a course that breaks this down. I haven't come across it yet.

Thanks for any insight!

Funny how people just asked questions in a thread they create and in the same sentence answer the questions , so you have to asked yourself why do they do this to themselves...!

No, I never said I do this all the time and I'm still learning IM/video. I'd actually llike to know what they're doing. My best guess based on the limited knowledge I have of video marketing/distribution is what I posted above. Wasn't sure if I was missing something. It doesn't appear to be a much-discussed topic other than around the release of a WSO.

I also don't understand how the lower quality urls are helping them that much. Is YouTube's search engine so far behind or different from Google that any source of incoming traffic still boosts your ranking in YT no matter if it's a spammy site? There seems to be a direct correlation in many of these videos of simply higher incoming traffic = higher the rank in YT = more views. Even if the social signals are practically non-existant. I would think it has to be more complicated than that.

Are they simply loading up these spammy video-sharing sites into one of the tools and creating tons of links and does that actually have that much of an effect on the video rank assuming the video is of similar quality to hundreds more that don't have anywhere near that many views.

Often there are those that are doing things that make it appear they are having success when they may not be. I cannot answer specifically about some of the things you are asking about, but I can answer a couple.

With video marketing, (as with anything) , your first question needs to be - what do I want to accomplish? Using all kinds of crazy nonsense (i.e. Russian underground networks - or some other junk), will almost always be an utter waste of time. Even if it gets you some initial results it will often lead to something bad that you do not want.

For all the talk of how fast the internet moves and how much it changes, it is still much the same. What changes are some aspects. For instance, content is still king, but the kind of content has changed.

In the past, textual content was what you needed to have all over the net. Now it is video content that is being consumed by 80% of viewers.

Hydravid is something I have and use, but all it does is automate (to some degree) the process of syndication.

The main product syndicates to a range of bookmarks. The upgrade syndicates to their PBN.

In the end, if you bookmark your videos, place them on blogs, web 2.0 properties and all the normal stuff, along with optimizing your video properly, you will find yourself getting some good results without the risk of future problems.

Any other comments on what the YouTubers are doing to get this result?

After being able to upload their videos on youtube, people always go an extra mile to just make sure that the videos are gaining the views which will then be converted to useful traffic which will then be source of revenue. For you to be able to get traffic fro the backlinks, then you will have to visit several forums and do posting of the links to the related treads, people who find it useful will follow the link and then access the video on youtube. I am thinking the owner of the video might be using some software to make this possible.

Can you suggest software for bookmarking and syndicating videos?
I know there is Traffic Geyser but there doesn't seem to be any comments on it since 2 years., Is it still relevant?
