What to do with many duplicate sales pages on my site

Hi guys,

What do you do when you have a ton of slightly different sales pages on your site that are pretty much the same?

(sometimes they have a different video or they are 99% the same).

I'm sure Google is penalizing my site because of this. But what can I do with some many duplicates (and yes, I need each duplicate page).

Thank you.

I'm afraid you're going to have to explain exactly what you have and why. We can't help you given the vague explanation in your first post.

All I can say is that you need to combine all the pages in terms of the content so that you get away the duplicates. One thing with the duplicates is that they will have a great negative influence when it comes to speed of the website. be able to take the difference each and every page has and bring it to one or two organized pages so that the content is well planned. Avoid this because your readers will get pissed off f they come across the same thing from page to page.

WebGuy, do you mean your site is loaded with test pages?

If that's the case, I don't understand why you still have them. The purpose of test pages is to discover what works best, then put the points with the highest return into one landing page.

Or two landing pages if you are appealing to two different markets.

For instance, if the page with Don't Land on Our Offer Just After the Door Closes is getting more attention than the page with You're Running Out of Time to Be the One All the Neighbors Envy, then that's the headline you use. Discard the 2nd one, or save it in a folder on your hard drive; either way, take it off your site.

NOTE @ Dr. Forum: Duplicate pages don't bog down a site or cause slow loads. Each page is an individual entity as defined by it's url. www.abc.yada/dup-offer-05.htm is not a duplicate of www.abc.yada/dup-offer-04.htm. It's a whole other page.

The web site I founded has close to 3,000 pages and loads almost as fast as Penelope Garcia's crazy computer. There are plenty of pages that say the same thing in a different way for people in different situations.
