choosing a niche

So I have been really thinking about the niche I'm going to choose. First, I was thinking about clothes but people said I shouldn't do that. Right now I want to do something with sports ( sport clothes etc.). I was wondering if I should choose just one sport , for example hockey or football, or just sports in general? Also, is it better if the domain includes the keyword?

    What I would recommend you to do is to get very very specific with your niche. The more specific, the better!

    Because, you want to make sales in that niche - right? ... and to do that, you have to speak to a very specific group of people. That way you can attract them very easily.

    There is a simple quote in this industry; "When you try to talk to everyone, you talk to no one"

    Don't ever target a very broad audience, you want to target a very specific audience.

    So, you might want to target people who love Football, are in the age range of 26 - 42, watch Football games every Sunday, loves Football jerseys, etc.

    That is very specific. And knowing who you really want to talk to, you can then write content for that specific person.

    Just think about this .... when you focus on talking to one specific type of person, chances are, there are thousands of people just like this one person. So, when you write content, just imagine you are only talking to this one person.

    And about your domain name - it is a good idea to use a simple keyword in the domain name, but I would not worry too much about it. As long as your domain name is relevant to the content you are going to be sharing, you are good!
