    Darren,

The only way to know how "easy" it will be to rank the terms you have in mind is to get out there and try to do it. "How easy" something is really is a subjective assessment on your part. "Easy" ranking for some people means you get on the first page of Google within six months . . . for someone else, that would seem like an unacceptable length of time.

Just go do it and see for yourself.

Nowaday Google considers many factors when it comes to ranking a website. Google mostly favours websites that has lots of authority and social presence and not just a few page website.

Of course it is easier with a keyword with low competition than it is with a keyword with high competition.

Ranking may be more challenging than it was in the days before Panda and Penguin. Make sure to offer something of value to the visitor.

      Good luck.

If you find a niche that nobody else is in then yes it is very easy.

The only problem is you need to make money from your niche website once it's rankled in Google. There is no point having thousands of hits per month if you can't monetize any of your traffic.

micro niche is perfect with long tail keyword so it shouldn't be too hard, just do basic seo and you'll push the site in a steady pace.

The best way to find out if it is worth it is to try it out for yourself.

Remember, it may work for some but not for others.

Ranking well (top 3 positions) in the search engines (for a blog, micro niche site, etc.) is much harder these days than in the pre-Panda and pre-Penguin update days.

That being said, if you choose a low competition, long-tail keyword, and have a 500 to 800 word unique article to go along with it, getting a YouTube video ranked well in the SERPs for that keyword is not that hard to do.

For me, content is still the king.

Focus on creating useful and interesting contents (articles, videos) that people actually want to read. It will take months so you have to keep going and don't quit.

    Everything should be done step-by-step:

Focus on content topics (not just keywords) and user experience.
Ensure that your website is mobile-friendly.
Use the "Disavow Tool" offered by Google (carefully).
Keep building links (and build them at a 'natural' pace).
    Lastly, make your content share-able.

"Rank" is a general term. Rank where?

If your site is unique and you've got low traffic keywords, then you can easily rank it in Bing in a matter of days, and probably in the top position. It still works in Google, too, but it's a bit harder.

Don't sell Bing short; I get a lot of traffic from Bing.

No, Google nowadays ranks authority sites higher. Unless you got really strong backlinks and aged domains. Google nowadays favour those high authoirty sites like Cnet, lifehacker.com, etc.

Although there's some truth to that, I think it's still possible to rank highly (for certain KWs) with small websites. In fact my younger Brother (Erny) is making a good income from 1 page sites in Google.

Yes it is!.... if you do everything the right way, that is!

Don't always go by what people say. Because you will always see both sides of the fence.

Instead of researching for what people are saying, research on HOW to do it right. And just go for it, and have the experience yourself.

As far as I am concerned, it still works and it is a very profitable model to make money online. I know many bloggers who build micro niche sites all the time.

You just have to do it right, that's all

Not as easy but still doable if done right.

I must say sure different than it was 8 years ago when I started. People were putting up sites and getting a few backilnks , pinging and seeing good results.

      Times have changed

Aaaah the good old "ping and they will come" days, haha...Really hope I have the time in 2016 to work on a blogpost on how we did it back in the days.. pinging, adsense arbitrage, ezinearticles.com, safelists, and other now crazy marketing stuff .. Today pinging is a complete waste of time, if you update the site regularly it will get crawled anyway..

If you are following some guide from 2005 on micro niche sites that doesn't work anymore. If you have a tiny niche, where there really just isn't that much to say about it, then it works, but I still suggest at least 20 pages of content with at least 500 words per page and I don't think people consider that to be "micro." It really doesn't make sense to shoot low these days.

So if i set up a wordpress site and lets say i'm promoting a particular clickbank product in a certain niche and i'm searching for keywords with atleast 1500-2000 searches per month with low/medium competition i should have at least 20 pages of content with atleast 500 words explaining what the product exactly does and how someone could benefit off of it? I'm almost afraid i'd run out of words and i'd just be repeating myself. I can see me being able to squeeze atleast 2 pages of good information in. But i do see what you mean because the more content and pages i have the better off i'd be. Just seems hard to come up with that many pages of information about one single product that i'm promoting.

Set your site up to have a static homepage which is your product review that promotes your product. This is going to be where you want most of your traffic going.

For the other pages, write valuable and informative articles on topics within your niche and promote your product here and there where it fits into the article.

Find under performing products that are related to the one you want to promote and write negative reviews on them. At the end of the review suggest your product and explain why it is the better/best solution.

Find other good products to write reviews about and promote....surely there is more than one product in your niche.

Here's how you rank within a few days for micro-nice.

Put AT LEAST 10 pages of articles, usually around 500-1,500 words per page, so that Google sees you have variety and unique content all around one specific keyphrase or keyword.

AVOID high-competition keywords... These will come later. You either want a very small, or even "none existent" keyword that has practically none to no competition whatsoever for that KEYWORD.

Go to Fiverr and look up someone who will get your page ranked through news blogs and backlinks. Usually 30-Day SEO guys will spread your chosen URL and a Keyword you'd like to be ranked for.

    Wait about 2-3 days.

If the Fiverr guys do their part correctly by submitting your URL and Keyword you wish to be ranked for, you will appear on the first page of Google.

"What's the point if no one searches for that keyword?" Exactly! No one is competition for it.

Go out there and comment on everything from Blogs, YouTube Videos, Facebook, Google+ and tell people to simply "Google (keyword) if you're looking about learning (fill in the blank)".

People go to Google, type in your Keyword, and bam, they find your website.

This builds trust with Google that you have exactly what people are looking for, and that your website shows value for a related term. This, in turn, boosts your authority, as well as you SEO power, which within about 6 months if you continue to add to your site and have Fiverr Gigs rank you for similar, but different keywords, then you will gain more power over more competitive Keywords.

Hope this helps, and PM me if you need help. See ya!

Horrible advice....DO NOT use fiverr for seo under any circumstance, unless of course you are looking to get your site penalized.
