Techy, Webmaster, Blog-Related, Domain Question :S

Hi Warriors.

I have made a bit of a mistake and it has only just dawned on me in the last few hours after some weeks of work.

I have a website, and have put all the content in the form of a wordpress blog on the domain extension: mydomain.com/blog

I have no idea what to do with the main domain, and want to move my wordpress blog and content on to the main url, i.e.: mydomain.com would feature the blog and all of the content.

Is it possible to do this? Is it at all straight forward? I am not very techy, but can handle most basic stuff.

And finally, does anyone offer this as a service, i.e. will do this for me for money?

I'd be most grateful for any help that anyone can offer.

    You could also just use permanent domain forwarding with masking. With GoDaddy you just go to the domain manager and click some boxes. Then tell it where to forward visitors when they type in your domain url. So, when people type in yourdomain.com they will be redirected to yourdomain.com/blog without ever knowing the difference.

    Pardon my bluntness... but why do you want to blog on the root now?

    Essentially, you can still have a powerful blog on /blog and use the root as a money page.. I do this on almost all my domains now and it works wonders.

    Just because I want the website to be a blog. All the content will be hosted there, and if the purpose of the site is to be a blog, then I think it should be in the root domain.
