If you create a great book and have good sales.. do you focus for years on marketing this book , or you will have to create a new book later on ? I mean can you keep selling forever or there is a cap ?

If it keeps making money then of course keep selling it, but a good idea would be to do updates in the future....because as you know the world of information consistently changes and you want to keep up with that. You should keep marketing as long as you are make a positive ROI.

Crunch the numbers and monitor your ad spending. Business is about making money not losing it!!. You can also do variations of your book. More income streams equals more money. Look to outsource some work also so you can enjoy your money and more free time!!

    Good luck!!

If it's really GREAT book, then it should last for generations

Updates and different topics would be great idea to expand on later

    Well:

    1. It depends if the information in the book is susceptible to obsolescence.
    2. It depends if the market wants or needs more from you.
    3. It depends if you want to give the market more.

Rarely does any entity (author, publishing company, etc) only release a single book.

80-95 % of sales comes in the first week (launch week). After that, you can get some more scaling, but in one year, it will be an old info-product. You could write version 2.0 after that.
