Hi All,

I am going to write articles in the IT niche (reg checkers, AV, Spyware, etc..)
I then want to sell them as PLR but on a limited distribution - to make them more valuable to the purchasors.

If I write 20 articles and sell them in 2 packs of 10 - how many people should I sell to maximum to make them valuable.

I am from a professional IT background and have a very good knowledge in the above areas.

I am new to PLR so any advice will be much appreciated.

Thanks
Leigh

P.S if you want the articles when they are done PM me asap.

Leigh - you might want to check out easyPLR.com for reference. On that site, Nicole Dean sells sets of 10 articles which are professional and very well written. She usually limits her stuff to 75 packs. I guess it just depends on how exclusive you want the packs to be.

    Thanks Dave,

Would $10 per pack be too cheap?

I am trying to raise cash to get my IM business off the ground, but I don't want them to appear "cheap price cheap quality".

It's up to you, but the articles are perceived to have more value if you limit them to a smaller number of people. Around here it seems many offer in the 30-50 range.

The going rate is typically $1 per article so a pack of $10 would be $10. You should test the pricing as well as the best set up - 2 bundles of 10 vs. 1 bundle of 20 or 4 bundles of 5.

    Good luck!

    Heya, The Skint IM!

Assuming you will really produce quality stuff....

$10 per pack of 10 would be justifiable if you will limit buyers to 20 or less.

That would net you $200, or $20 per article. This is the usual model for PLR packages at the WSO section of this forum. And one can assume that it's because it's the most successful.

But $10 for a limit of 100 sets? That's $100 per article. It's good for YOUR business, yes. But that will be hard to justify for your potential customers.

I'm sure some would say that they're willing to pay such an amount for well-written PLR articles.

But personally, I won't. If 99 other people will be able to use the same content, I'd rather spend $10 on 2 or 3 custom-made articles that I alone would be able to utilize. At least I won't have to rewrite them, and I will have the option to request for revisions to correct mistakes and/or to request for rewrites/refunds if they're so poorly written.

There are so many article writers these days. I assure you that all of them have thought about the PLR route. Yet, they stuck with custom orders of $5 to $7 per unique article? This should tell you something.

    - Coleen
