is there a place to post our progress with our business?

"Why?"

Because they turn into promotional threads - they turn into rants - it's boring to read "what I did yesterday".

Threads like that end up page after page of posts by the OP one after another and then a sig appears -and then someone suggests "run a WSO" or the OP 'mentions' the offer is now live on JVZoo or....

They are not forum threads - they are blog posts. The are 'work diaries' that run straight into promotional efforts.

That's why. It's not new here - the rule has been in place for years - ever since people started trying to use the forum as their personal blog/ad space.

My days are lazy now. A few times in the past I've written about 12-24 hr stints of online work - and members (usually newbies) thought I was doing it "wrong" if I worked that much.

I worked really hard so I could get to "here" where I work hardly at all.

Most who WANT to start 'follow me' threads are aiming for eventual promotion/branding or think "putting it out there" will motivate them.

If relaxed lifestyle and paying the bills on time isn't enough motivation to make you get to work - better get a job that makes you show up at 8 am

also Its good for me too I can see a log of all my sales.

to the guy that said I probably bought an account no I just am not active at all in Warrior forums I was looking to be more active. but now that I cant post my logs I will be finding another forum to be active on that allows it as I like seeing other peoples progress to that is why I said are "we allowed to"

Okay.

A rule that has been written about in threads - by mods - isn't really "unwritten" is it?

For a while, at least, the "follow me" threads were permissible in the "challenges" section. If you wanted to post a personal challenge and then talk to yourself about it - that was the place to do it. Don't know if it's allowed there now or not - I never look at that section.

Of course if you want to post the good the bad and ugly you are at IM/MMO the mods will delete the thread so do what frank suggest start a blog and then link it to your signature

Boring or not . . . it takes you away from doing more in your own business.

What someone else does in his business . . . has absolutely no bearing whatsoever on what your can, should, or will do in your own business.

So many newbies think that they can duplicate the success that is written about online by just following someone else.

The truth is . . . you are not that person and you don't bring the same skills, talents, experience, training, mindset, resources, etc to the table.

Certainly, there is nothing inherently wrong with following someone's progress . . . but it can be a serious distraction and waste of time when you are trying to create and run a profitable business of your own.

People used to call me a "recluse" because all I did was work. Now I do whatever I want, whenever I want.

now that I cant post my logs

I don't understand the motivation here at all. Post it on a blog if you feel the waste of time is a good idea to progress your business. Is part of the "log" going to be: "Wasted several hours posting information that nobody but me cares about."?

Think about how your time will be most profitably spent.

Personally I love to see those kind of threads and just read lot of them. I don't care what they promote or not. My passion is to read the daily progress story with some glare of reality. By the way I hate Reality shows.
