Have you actually read the Warrior Forum Rules...........

Hey Warriors.

I want you to be honest.

Just tell me if you read the Warrior Forum Rules before posting here. I am sure most of the warriors did but I have seen a lot of signature files with affiliate links and according to the warrior rules you can't post affiliate links in your signature.

Please note that this post is not meant to point someone or insult someone. I just thought about it and I posted about it.

    LOL,

Great advice to read the rules. I've read the rules. I've also inadvertently broken them once in a while and been duly punished .

What really cracks me up is seeing some veteran Warriors give an infraction or comment on someone breaking the rules and in the same post their sig. breaks the rules.

I'm not reading directly from the rules right now but unless they have changed there should be no more than 5 lines "normal" font, Bold OK and Blue Link OK. There are many sigs breaking those rules.

It matters not what I think. having said that, I think it's a GREAT rule. If Allen didn't have it there would be a lot of people coming here only for the sole purpose of posting to get sig exposure to affiliate products.

It would not be so much because they were clever enough to think about doing it but every merchant on the planet would have in their affiliate resource a note to come to the Warrior forum to make a sig file.

Then the one liner wars would begin to get exposure and Spam Hunters would have to stay up 24/7 zapping spammers. It would no longer be a fun sport as it is now. It would become a battle of survival.

As opposed to what, a lot of people coming here only for the sole purpose of posting to get sig exposure for non-affiliate products?

I know that sounds odd, but there really is a difference.

Consider: If I have a sig file for one of my products, that's one person promoting that product. My name would be on it, so I have something to lose if I abuse the privilege. If someone directs their affiliates to come here and post for sig file exposure, like the guy from "Maverick Money Makers" and others before him did, that can be dozens, or even hundreds, of new people posting absolute drivel.

Like many rules regarding forums, it doesn't make much sense if you forget the context.

Nope. Hell, I only got as far as the 3rd Commandment before I gave up on those!

Paul you have only 7 more to go. However since you are now up in age it may take you awhile before you get them done.

Speaking of breaking the rules at least one guy has done it here, with spamming the forum using the sig file to go to an affiliate site. Did I report him? You betcha.

You should be able to spot him with no problem.

      hilariously ironic...

P.S. your sig is in violation of the rules... guess you better read the rules entirely...

      (5) No Affiliate Links Allowed - Promote Your Own Domain/s Only. It's either this or we have to cut out sig files altogether which we do not want to do.

Edit: Due to certain people trying to find a loophole I needed to add yet another edit. Please do not try to get around these rules by getting your own domain name and simply redirecting it to an affiliate program. You Will Be Removed From Here When Caught.

      Hey Friend,

I recommend you read the rules because you have received a warning by the warrior forum.

I've read the rules. Sometimes people mistake the links in my signature for affiliate links when they're not, because I often add tracking parameters to the query strings.

Yes, the WF Rules Thread is a must read for everyone (which most people don't actually read).

However, I actually prefer Paul Myers' sticky thread about how to be a better member moderator... (yes, this forum is member moderated... YOU are the moderators)

When you see that, report it to the mods. I'm sure Les would love to take care of it.

So John, why is it you're embedding EzineArticles articles as images in all your posts? That's a bit black hat, creating all those fake views, you know. It's also how Shawn Hogan cookie stuffed for eBay and landed himself in court. I'll make sure EZA knows how you feel about the importance of rules by pointing them here.
