Finding the leaders in my field

Is there a way to find the top ranking websites in an industry? I've gone onto Alexa and looked for a way to filter by industry, and didn't see one. I've tried Google as well, and i get a zillion pages of stuff.

For example: "What are the websites focused on Golf - and list them by rank"

    I suggest you check out a site called "similar web" they are a great resources.

    Try searching any of the biggest website directories. Once upon a time, there was Yahoo directory, but it's closed now, after 20 years.

    You can try alltop and use Google's similar sites search operator to find niche-related sites.

    Personally, I'd hire a VA for $75 to find similar sites, get their DA/PA/ Trust Flow / Alexa Scores / Social signals and contact info
