Perhaps a silly question(article marketing content)

I am planning on submitting 10 niche articles to a few article directories. I was going to use the same anchor text for them all, but I just want to check here first. Say I submit all 10 to EZA, all with the same anchor text(which is also the title of the site I am directing visitors to) in the bio/resource box, does each one count as a separate backlink? And therefore because there would be 10 on there it would mean the backlink power would be x10?

For this niche site I want to rank for 4 keyword phrases, but the one that's in the title is my initial priority. If my backlink power isn't multiplied by submitting multiple articles with the same anchor text, perhaps I'd be better served using the other 3 individual keyword phrases in some of the other articles?

  • I think what I might do instead is submit just a couple each to the top directories. Something like:

    2 to EZA
    2 to GoArticles
    2 to Buzzle
    2 to SearchWarp
    2 to ArticlesBase

    Others will recommend a different group of directories, but each of those I mentioned has good PR and the articles submitted to them get picked up very quickly by Google.

    That takes the potential concern you have out of the equation, at least to a large extent. And, it doesn't take a lot more time to submit to several vs. all at EZA. EZA has a pretty lengthy submission process compared to the others, so it might even be faster.

    Just an idea.

    • Those are pretty much the sites I was going to submit to, great list I think I'm probably going to submit all 10 to 5 or more sites, making sure to alter the title and some of the content as I go to make sure of unique content.
