What you are offering in your funnel will have a lot to do with what kind of free traffic converts for you.

It would help to know what you're promoting...but you can use social media channels such as Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest to drive some pretty high quality traffic to your funnel

Don't wish it were easier, wish you were better.

Driving traffic to your affiliate offer(s) is crucial. One way is through Article marketing. You want to create valuable content and then submit it to article directories such as EzineArticles.com and Buzzle.com, this is a key strategy.

The key to driving traffic to your affiliate site is to write highly relevant and keyword-rich content. So before you compose a piece for article directories, you need to determine the best keyword that you want to optimize your content for, to achieve results for the affiliate product you're promoting.

Check to see if an article directory allows for linking to affiliate sites first, though. Always keep in mind that you need to play by the article directory's rules or you run the risk of getting banned.
        Seriously?

I had to check the dates on this thread to see if it was 2015 or 2005. Because this advice would have been golden in 2005. Now, it's a huge waste of time at best and could kill any chance of organic (search) traffic at worst.

Twilson, you're about ten years behind, which is forever in Internet years.

          LOL ... Exactly my point...

Anyway, he could refer to content marketing, which is much closer to 2015, where helpful articles could definitely play a serious role, but then he should forget about article directories and try to avoid losing time on them...

Somewhere (on my hard drive), I've got a great ebook I can give you about using forums for traffic (Forum Marketing)... My Mom's sick and I'm heading to the hospital right at the moment. When I get home I'll send you the ebook in a private message - if you like. Remind me - in case I forget! It's a good ebook - lots of good ideas.

I agree with you, forum marketing is still a good and effective way to promote affiliate programs.

  • Well there is no "free" traffic at all. All traffic will cost you something - if you're doing organic traffic it will take you time, if you are getting affiliate traffic you're paying usually 50% (or more) to the affiliate for a sale (even though you do that if the sale gets made), and if you're buying traffic - you are paying either for impressions, for exposure or for clicks

If you want to get affiliate traffic you will need to set up your product on some sort of affiliate marketplace (either JVZoo, Warrior Payments, DealGuardian or similar), offer the commissions and give them the reason to promote you

I agree with this opinion, if you don't pay by money then you will pay by your time to promote your affiliates on affiliate platforms

  • And sometimes you have to take in consideration that paying 50% to the affiliate is NOT the best strategy.

Think about this - if you have a $197 product, and you pay 50% to affiliate which is around $100. So you need to pay $100 to make $100.

Have you considered spending $100 on targeted advertising (FB, Youtube, solo ads - any paid traffic method) to see whether you make a sale? Because you may end up spending $60-80 to make the same sale - so at the end of the day you're making $20-$40 more with paid traffic and not affiliate traffic.

If you want affiliate traffic you can create a short video and promote it through your page.
I found this very effective. I have tried it and it work so well.
The beauty of it is you pay very cheap to get views.

Strategize your view to get clicks to your funnel or affiliate page...that way you can get free traffic easily.

Currently, i paying $0.0001, $0.0002 , $0.0003 per view and at same time generating subscribers to my list.

I got this strategy from Chris. I can give you for free.

There nothing comes absolutely free. Ultimately you're paying something off directly or indirectly. However, to achieve a wave of free traffic to your affiliate website. I think you should first consider your product based target audience. Then look for their demands, problems and act accordingly by creating solutions through great content.

When people will start find our website good for useful resources, a lot of traffic you'll see in return. You can do forum posting, look for Quora to find people problems, or what people actually looking for.

I am not sure if I have understood your question - are you planning to sell your own product or, is it to promote a product as an affiliate?

If you are planning to sell your own product, then recruiting affiliates is the best option. You can sell at Warrior Forum using W+ or, JVZoo or, any of the other platforms and sell your product. This is the easiest way to sell your products and at the same time to build your list as well.

If you are planning to promote a product as an affiliate, you can look at both FREE options and Paid options. FREE will take a lot of time and primarily involves social media promotions and SEO. But paid will give you instant results, if you know how to do it right. FB ads, Twitter Ads, PPC options like Bing, 7 Search etc. are good options. But you need to be careful with your targeting options, your ads etc. else you might just end up spending a lot of money with no returns..
