Are all information FREE? Do you still pay for ebooks and courses online?

Many courses online will offer you all the things that you need to start and grow a successful internet business for a fee.

The bad thing about all the free content that you find only provides you with 10-30% of the steps you need to take in order to succeed online.

Even if you find a mentor online and you need to pay $100's to get started in their training, I think that it is worth it.

Free information provided by vendors and affiliates in the form of reports, short courses, and bonuses (known collectively as "freebies") + threads and posts here in the forum are useful but only provide a window into the big picture.

For instance, the 5 - 7 basic steps that must be in place to set up an Internet Marketing project are often listed in the forum and in freebies, but they are only the tip of the iceberg. You can see an excellent example here posted by Alvin Huang: 6 Steps to $20,000 Monthly

My current tally is 50 different base methods of making money online, and that's not including sub-categories, making money on the dark side of the web, and systems I haven't stumbled on yet.

In order to successfully master the intricacies of operating any of those systems or combinations of those system, you must buy courses from reputable marketers who have Been There, Done That, Have the Stats to Prove It.

That is, unless you are a dedicated masochist and want to spend the next 2-5 years figuring it out for yourself.

So yeah - even those of us with experience pay for coaching and try out innovative systems to see what they have to offer that can be added to our own existing systems.

You never stop learning, and a good education costs money.

My advice to anyone reading this is that if you are a newbie, go to Warrior Plus and JVZoo, plus generally on the web to find a high-rated course for the system that best suits your goals and personality. Do not spend your money foolishly - ask questions about your course choices, do your homework on JVZ & W+ (i.e. go thru the drop-down menu links to find info).

Once you've chosen a reputable and successful course, glue yourself to it and apply what you've learned while your enthusiasm is high. Don't hesitate, just LEAP!

Paid or free... what's the difference if no implementation is achieved, and all you're doing is seeking useless philosophical answers? Take the knowledge that you've learned thus far and apply. If you have to buy a course, or pay a mentor, then do it.

Free information is usually just going to cover the basics or give you a general guide. For some that can work if they have the drive, time and money to figure it out or are experience enough to fill in the blanks.

For others they are going to need more details and maybe an ebook or course will be enough or maybe enough to at least get them to take action and try something.

There is a lot of information, and products available for free. Often the paid stuff is even just a compilation of what you can get for free.

In the later case, what you're really paying for is someone to sift through all of the free stuff and tell you which of it is still relevant and accurate.

I still spend thousands of dollars per year on training... and I have 20 years of experience as an online marketer. What I'm paying for is someone else's time and experience... which saves me time and from making mistakes.

I just spent $2,000 to get the "Titans of Direct Response DVD's" aint no way your gonna get that quality information on a free blog or youtube channel...

After almost 9 years of being in business for myself, I really don't buy much anymore other than various books from Amazon... But when I see something I know will be of value to me I get it...

I'm very careful and guarded about who I learn from, an just any yahoo who knows how to put up a wordpress site or upload a video usually doesnt have to much to give... With a rare few exceptions of course.

When I first got started Online, I signed up for Perry Marshall's Ebook on Google Adwords. (outdated now).

It costed $97.

In the time we are in now, everything is a lot more expensive.

A book like that (if it still has useful content that can help you) would probably cost around $500 (now).

So yeah, I would definitely recommend newbies to buy stuff (because this is exactly what I did when I was new and it worked for me).

However, make sure to not go overboard if you decide to go this route. Take one course or material at a time and actually 'apply' that said method.

Don't just read it or give it a half assed approach.

Really 'implement' it.

People who keep going the FREE Route can remain 'Newbies' for years.

Two more points:

1- Make sure that you get a 'referral' regarding the paid course or book. I did before I bought that 97 dollar book. A referral will let you know that someone else got value from it.

Also make sure that this referral was someone who actually 'took action' on the info and not just someone who ONLY Read it and did nothing.

2- Don't expect 'Overnight' Results. Results take time.

First of all there is nothing called free ,Giving free content is just enticing you for further action

Basically free stuff will provide 10 to 20 per info and rest of the puzzle will be missing

I highly recommend newbie to find a mentor or a course ,instead of banging your heads against the people... It is totally worth it

I have seen quite a few people in my circle who still buy course ,even though they have been in IM for a long time and have made big money,As they say learning never stops ,If there is something which is worth it ,y not go and grab it

Look at Udemy some info is free and some is not, same on kindle.

While a lot of information are available for free, but they are scattered all over the place. It might take a lot of time put them in place and understand how things work. But for paid ebook and courses, these are a very structured and complete piece of information that would cut short the learning time as compared to the free one. It is even better to have a mentor that can guide you so that you have the confidence to start the journey.

True, we can find most, if not all, the information that we need for free, but my time is a precious resource. Fact is, I would rather buy a 99 cent e-book that has all the information condensed into tiny bite size pieces. Witness the over arcing success of kindle on amazon. Most of that valuable information is available for free, but finding it takes time, and as you already know - time is money.

Some, yes.
Some things are worth the cost. Some aren't

BTW if I had not paid for a course, I would have been writing a similar post like you have done and waiting for replies from others

As I mentioned before in other messages, now I'm reading a book by Brian Tracy "No excuses. The power of self-discipline". Amazing book, by the way.

I believe you can get all the information for "free". But think about opportunity cost.

If I can get all the information I need along with an actionable blueprint spoon-fed by purchasing a course and put the new knowledge to use right away, it sure beats the alternative of digging for free information for weeks and then doing trial and error experiments.

Free information cane guide you to your first 100$ maybe, but it takes time from you to filter it and apply all of it.
Paid e-books and informations and training take you directly to the point , but be careful from who you buy, because every one is a Guru in the Internet, me i can pretend to be a guru and write a guide and put it for sell ... as every one do.
The good way to know if some one's books worth it, ask in Warrior forum or an other IM forum about the person if he is already known and already have a blog or a previous free or paid materials and thane buy and ask for a grantee period, or you will be SCAMED !

I buy ebooks and courses regularly. For courses I depend on Udemy and I am highly satisfied with their courses.

If you can find all education materials for free from the friends who're living around you, why do you go to school?
