A bar of iron cost $5. Made into horseshoes, it's worth $12. Made into needles, it's worth $3500. Made into balance springs for watches, it's worth $300,000. Your value is determined by what you are able to make of yourself

You do realize this is a Forum right, and asking questions is part of why this forum exists?

As you can see by the Replies to this thread I've gotten information specific to my Product offering which has been great, information you don't get by "googling" or using the Search Feature....

Thanks for your insight and valuable information.

Yep! And if everyone took your advise there would be zero posts on the WF. AKA it would no longer exist.

The WF is about asking questions and networking. It is not about telling people to google it.

It depends on what your niche is.

One way is to look at niche specific forums that have high volumes of traffic and members.

Another way is to use Facebook ads and laser target your market. They have very good options for laser targeting your market.

Another way is to find websites that offer similar products to what you have and ask them to send out an email promotion for you either as a solo ad or 50/50 split.

If you are trying to promote an affiliate program, I would promote it as a money making opportunity. Google money making forums and start there. I agree with the other poster who wrote about the Facebook ads as well. I think the key is to Place ads that reads, First 25 affiliates get 50-60 percent commissions or something of that nature. Starting out you want to over deliver on your commissions just to get affiliates to work for you. Then you can decrease the percentages as people join your affiliate program. It really depends on what you are selling and what you can give afford to give away. \

25 percent might not be enough to really catch the eyes of real affiliate marketers unless you are selling big ticket items.

You can cross starting a thread on WF off the list, but 25%? I guess it depends on the niche, but you'll have a harder time recruiting worthwhile affiliates with that commission.

For most niches that I'm familiar with 25% would not be an attractive enough commission to entice that many affiliates.

    However, you can recruit affiliates:
    - Via sites set up for that purpose such as JVNotifyPro
    - Facebook groups set up to announce product launches
    - Skype groups set up to announce product launches
    - Setting up your OWN Facebook, Google+ or LinkedIn Groups/Pages, etc., and allow those sites search features to attract affiliates to you
    - Going through the major affiliate networks where permitted
    - Visiting forums in your niche and recruiting the forum owner as affiliates
    - Visiting highly trafficked YouTube videos/channels and asking the owner to become an affliate

and probably two dozen similar techniques.

On the paid side I'd run Facebook ads in conjunction with retargeting.

I don't know what your product is but I reckon you'll struggle to create much enthusiasm with 25% commissions.

The easiest way to find "potential" affiliates is to google a competitor's product name + review.

Depending on the niche you can find hundreds of potential affiliates that way.

Another vote for setting up social media profiles - Facebook, Twitter, Google+, LinkedIn and attracting affiliates that way. If you have the time to handle this yourself, this can be a free source of traffic to draw in affiliates. If you want to invest in PPC, you could try a small trial Facebook Ad and see if your CPC and engagement delivers a decent ROI.
