The Only 5 Ways I Increased My Profits Few Days Ago

I don't really like titles like the one above because they sound, well, boring...
(Well here's a trick that I guarantee will make it much less so)

Let me put this concept into perspective for you...

By implementing just ONE of the following tactics I increased my profits by around $500 a month on sales of simple $27 ebook.

But let's backtrack a little.

Here are the 5 ways to increase your online business profits.

1. Get more traffic to your sales pages
2. Increase the profit you make at the point of sale
3. Make more sales (not the same)
4. Sell more stuff to your existing customers
5. Cut your costs, overheads and

That’s it really. If you do just one of the above you’ll see more money.
If you do all five of them you’ll see quite a bit more money.

How did I increase my income?

If we simplify the figures and say I get 2000 unique visitors to my ebook sales page over 30 days, and it converted at 5% I’d make 100 sales at $27. $2700 right?

But by tweaking my sales copy, trying different order buttons, maybe combining copy and video etc, I could perhaps increase my conversion rate to 6%

If that happened I would make 120 sales at $27 which would give me $3240
      An increase of $540

And I didn’t need to increase the price or drive more traffic. I just tweaked and tested the sales page.
So the five points I mention are very valid and interesting agreed?

Not trying to burn your Thread but if you are going to start one be more specific.

And most of people want to know details on how the traffic was developed in the first place.

Numbers are numbers and it's great to go over them but it's the journey and how you arrive at those numbers...that is the gist that you need to think about disclosing

      Really you have a 1,2,3....

      1-get more traffic
      2-sell more stuff
      3-keep expenses low

To which most would say "well, yeah".

You need to be more specific.

Remember, you can still make money with LESS traffic.

It's not the VOLUME that matters as much as the QUALITY of the traffic.

Not to take over your thread or anything but when I clicked on the thread I thought that I would see something a little more specific. I went ahead and added some tips.

Here are the 5 ways to increase your online business profits.

    1. Get more traffic to your sales pages

There are a number of ways that you can increase traffic to your sales pages. Some ways include:

    - Social Media
    - Forum Posting
    - Paid Advertising (PPC, Facebook Ads etc.)
    - Blog Commenting
    - Video Sharing sites (Youtube, Vimeo etc)
    - SEO

With the current shift in technology more consumers are coming online and you have to be able to dig deep in the trenches of your chosen audience to really impact them.

    2. Increase the profit you make at the point of sale

Test, test, test. The only way to figure out what is working, is to figure out the things that are causing you to get sales through testing. Testing to figure out what is working and what isn't working can help you to improve and get more sales over time.

Tested Advertising Methods by John Caples is a good book that will help you to get a grasp of split testing different things in your ads.

    3. Make more sales (not the same)

Create funnels that make your customers spend more money with you. Normally when someone buys something from you and they are already in a buying mode so it is easier to make more money. Also capturing their information when they buy something from you is better to continue marketing to them in the future.

    4. Sell more stuff to your existing customers

Like the point above if you are able to capture the details of your customers and you really deliver value to them by caring about them you will make more money in the long run. Creating relationships with your customers and getting them to trust you can make you a lot of money.

    5. Cut your costs, overheads

Back to testing, when you test to figure out the things that are working and cut out the things that aren't you will save more money. Building an online business is about testing your ideas and tweaking them with the feedback you get.

The points that you gave were good ones by the way just though that I could add something to it.

    Hope it helps

    You're working too hard.

I mean testing your sales pages etc. like you mentioned is great and all but you're
missing one of the biggest things that keep a business a live and thriving.

    back-end.

If you added a $97 up-sell or whatever that shows right away after the purchase of the $27
book then you could expect at least a 15% conversion rate on that with little
    to no extra work...
