What are essential Pages for your Website or Blog ?

Hi Everyone,
Everyone's site is different in the amount of pages or information they
have on it.

Do you need Contact Us, Privacy, About Me, Disclaimers, etc, etc

pages on your site.

Do people check all these pages when they go to your site ?.

I would like to set up what people would check.

What are your thoughts on this.

thanks

  • I have always gone with the philosophy that having more than enough information available to satisfy the prospect is always the best plan.

    Having said that...

I also believe the one-page, mediocre website that is live always outsells the perfect website that never quite gets done...

If you have AdSense on your site, then you must have a privacy policy too, one that includes details of Google's double dart cookies.

A disclaimer is a good idea if you are offering any kind of medical or financial information.

The others are really up to you, but you can use the about me page as an additional way to get some seo on your site.

    Of course they are!

Don't be fooled from what other people will tell you. I'm tracking every step I do online and I can confidently tell you that people DO go to those pages if they are interested to know more about you or about your website. In many cases people want to feel more "home" or that they know you more and they WILL check those kind of pages.

Of course it all depends on the mission you are trying to accomplish. If it's a sales page they can act in one way, and if it's a blog they can act differently.

To make a long story short, it's always good to add your details anywhere you can on the web. Even if you're trying to get some traffic from Facebook or Squidoo, people are always looking on your profile before they jump to see what you have to offer.

    Hope this helps you

    Cheers,
