Need Help Entering Online Marketing World

I could use some help and/or advice about getting into the realm of online/affiliate marketing.

I have some experience with building personal websites and social media networking, but none in the realm of online marketing, affiliate marketing, email marketing, list-building, etc.

It appears there is a lot of noise/diversions/crap out there and I would appreciate some direction regarding the better/best paths for someone like me to take. I don't want to get caught up with info overload or the temptation to grab onto every shiny object out there.

Any help or usable advice would be greatly appreciated.

Find a group of people with a serious problem they acknowledge they have that you can solve.

You can solve it through an affiliate product if you don't have one of your own.

    That's step one.

The rest I described here, which mystifyingly got moved to the Mind Warriors section where no one can see it

The difference between successful affiliates and the ones who make a killing is nothing but an email list.
If you don't build an email list, you are simply giving away business to the product owner. You can build a business that will provide an income for many years, not just one-time sales.

IMO, one of the most important parts is driving traffic, do you know if you are interesting in paid or free traffic?

Sounds like you can have some good skills.

Seperate yourself from the noise. You do that by leading into your paid product through a different way then the other 10,000 affiliates. Your own offer of value leading into your paid product. Create your capture page around your giveaway.

    Hi,
awesome that you are starting internet marketing! It's excellent that you have experience with building personal websites and social media networking! Super useful skill!

Anyways, to answer your question you could head over to Warriorplus and from there, go to the Marketplace. There you can find FREE products that teach many different things. They can teach you loads and you won't even be spending money while learning loads!

Once you have gained some experience I would recommend you to build a website in your niche(topic) of choice. Then you can start posting articles related with your niche and as well product reviews. You could easily embed an affiliate links in a product review post. All affiliate marketing is based on affiliate links. They are links which if someone purchases through you make a commission.

Really you can apply what you have previously learned from reading FREE products!

Over time, if you post loads of excellent articles that are unique and interesting in my opinion you will start to rank. There is also loads to learn about SEO. Search Engine Optimization.

If you have some money to invest, you could buy some ads that will get you some immediate traffic!

Or, if you want a FREE alternative you could join a forum in your niche and add a signature. It is that writing under your name. Then, just participate and contribute to the forum.

You can also grow your social media accounts which will be EXTREMELY useful over time as they will be able to drive loads of targeted traffic to your site I believe!

Also, if you have a particular skill which you are excellent at, it would be worth looking at Fiverr or Freelancing overall. Here, you can make money if you're really outstanding at something!

Anyways, I hope I could help! Goodluck and you can do it!
    Stay awesome!

I've been promoting affiliate/cpa offers since 2000. I do things a bit different.

I heavily promote PPL(pay per lead) offers because there is no credit card required to complete the offer. All a user has to do is fill out a form in order to make money. So conversion rates are typically much higher than offers that require someone to make a purchase.

I favor ppl offers that have a make, get or save money angle to them, as they have overall worked the best for me and tend to have the greatest mass appeal. So the potential to produce high volume exists.

There are many ppl offers that pay $20-$60 each (some higher depending on the vertical) that work well with front-end campaigns. Offers that pay less or require a purchase I will also run, but I will run them on the back-end.

I drive traffic to the offers by acquiring fresh/targeted data (email), in that I know what the users are interested in and that a ppl offer exists that matches their interest. I generate real-time co-reg that targets a specific ppl offer. I also acquire aged data, but this is a little more involved and requires some additional resources.

The reason why I acquire data over other marketing methods is because I'm building assets that I then own and can market to over and over at low cost. Compared to always having to pay for traffic/clicks that will mostly just turn into one-time clicks that I can never promote any additional offers to. So by owning the traffic source(data), I can generate traffic on demand.

Any data that you buy is never going to be as good as a subscriber list that you create on your own, so it necessary to work with volume. But that is fine, as it allows you to scale much bigger and faster than you ever could. Then it comes down to cleaning, pruning and segmenting the data down to smaller more responsive segments, so that every time you mail, you send less and make more.

There's much more that goes into it, but it really does work. Everyone that I know that is in the business and know what they are doing, does 6-7 figures. While that is a huge range, much goes into ones ability to scale and effectively managing the infrastructure that comes with scaling.

Something to think about. However it's not for everyone.

Hi, the important thing is to find your passion. Following someone else's path or plan will lead to frustration and bring you back to the beginning. If you have the skills to build sites I suggest you START on your own blog/membership site straight away. It doesn't matter if you are not into any of the IN VOGUE topics. People earn a fortune writing and blogging about the most obscure things. Find your passion and go for it.

You have to start from the bottom - like Drake. Go in the War Room and download some good free guides on starting an online business and affiliate marketing. This is where you should start. And also if you have a question, be sure to use the "search" function on this site (at the top).
