It will depend on the product: some products do well on Pinterest, others on facebook..
You Can use solo ads, PPC programs like Google Adwords, Bing ads, etc which will work better.

      Hey Simohty,
I find Bing to be a relatively cheap and good quality source of traffic to go with. Of course it is paid ,but for many that is the only way to go

Any traffic resource works with related strategies exclusive on it.

    I've give you one example,

Do you think that it's possible to selling "Refrigerators" on traffic exchanges? If you'll ask this question on internet marketing forums, I'm sure, 100% of answers would be "What a stupidest idea?".

But the truth is YOU CAN!

First of all, you'll need to be a master on it, secondly, you can develop the strategy.

    So, my suggestion is,

Choose a method due to your passion and capacity..... follow it........ and be a master on it.

When it comes to paid traffic, my best source right now is PPV... in particular the Prosper Media and LeadImpact networks.

You can get free traffics from sharing social medias, forum and blog postings.

But for paid traffic, there are no best. It's all about how you manage and optimize your campaign.
Most DSPs are connected to the same traffic inventories and thousands of advertisers.
Optimizing your campaign is a skill, you need to found what works and what doesn't for you.

You can checkout this FREE guide from the Bluagile on how to use DSPs - Free Guide - Bluagile - Self-Serve RTB | Brand Marketing | Mobile | Display | Retargeting

    Hope this helps.

For free traffic I suggest you to focus on social media like twitter or facebook, where you need to build community around your blog and when people will be interested they will join in to your email list.

If you are thinking about paid traffic then give it a try and go with bing because they are more relaxed with rules about squeeze pages, remember that you need to optimize and split test to see best results

Well. basically the difference between free and paid traffic is reduced to this:

You need to consider your time and your work money.

So, the REAL question you need to ask yourself is:

How much time I can / Want to spend to drive traffic?

      Time VS Money. That's all.

SOme misconceptions come from thinking our time has no cost.

By the way, If you act smarter you can find A TON of free training and coaching programs that gives you the ability to pull out all the money you need to start out WHILE someone is giving you a BluePrint to follow..

You do it once as they say, then, learned the process PROVEN to work, you're able to add your personality and you own twist for whatever you desire.

      Cheers,
      Z.

P.S. - My personal advice, as long as it worked for me, is to start from the list building concept, learn how to grow a list and WHY IS CRUCIAL to know how to build them.
      Bye, Mate.

Naturally it all depends on what you're promoting/trying to achieve.

For me personally, solo ads are hands down the best traffic source available. If you have a good funnel in place, you can literally get paid to build a targeted list... No brainer.

The best traffic is the traffic that makes you money, regardless of whether it's free or paid.

You won't know what works until you try.

    Hi,
awesome that you are building an email list and that you have a blog!

Here's what I would recommend to start out with: Rank your blog and send traffic to your squeeze page from there. This only works if the niche for both is the same, though. So keep that in mind!

My honest opinion is that both paid and free methods are excellent. They are just different. Paid traffic will bring in quicker results in my opinion, whilst free traffic will take time to build up but will not cost you a cent (or very little money).

Here are in my opinion excellent traffic methods, that are free:

Youtube: Build a youtube channel and post videos. Over time, in my opinion, your channel will grow and believe it or not, you can get a load of traffic from there by for example posting a link to your site in the description. When doing Youtube, it is important that you use a Keyword tool. You want to be having longtail keywords as your title. Try to add as many benefits as possible in the title and make sure to write a long description. All this helps in my opinion. BTW: The keywords need to have a lot of traffic, but low competition. You can use Google's Keyword tool. It's free! This works well if you are really passionate about your niche. This can be an outstanding source of long-term traffic and it is kinda "set and forget" as your youtube videos will still be generating views even when you are not uploading videos anymore.

Forum: You might not believe how powerful this is, but just adding a signature will get your super targeted traffic to your site. Find a forum in your niche and join it and add a signature. A signature is that writing under your name. Your advertising space, you could say. Anyways, try to create a lot of curiosity in your signature and make it stand out from the others. Make it grab the attention of a person who might just be scrolling through the post. You're gonna have to test this on your own. Once you have everything setup, interact in the forum. If you love interacting in your niche and like talking about your niche, then you're gonna love this method!

Talking of paid traffic: Solo ads. This is email list traffic. Super useful for squeeze pages as you will be getting super targeted traffic, but this will cost some money!

Goodluck and I hope I could help you!
    Stay awesome!

In Which Niche ,I am guessing its MMO,

The 2 best traffic for SQ pages are Solo Ads (That Everyone Loves) and the other one would be Bing Ads ,If you do these things correctly provided you have a high converting SQ page ,You can make a massive list beleive me its pretty acheivable to make a list of few thousand people

Believe it or not, I get a lot of traffic from Google images. All you need are a lot of high quality pics. These will drive traffic to your web site - so start adding more images. People are using mobile so increase your icons. Friends, those are easy to create and cost you some time, but very little money. Create pictures that are hyper local and that needed by your consumers. It will help your company survive.

Fellow vendors, I need to compete on price. That is how we survive. Please try to cut costs and find a new way. Basically, if a person charges a penny less than me, I will lose my business to that person. Get use to profit margins that are narrow. Yeah, look at mine. They are thin as a razor. Free traffic is a big plus, but here is the minus. Bandwidth costs will zoom.

I use to use Craigslist years ago. However, they got rid of hyper links that people can click, so I started using back page. Well, there is some traffic, but a lot less now. Expect twitter to display the same phenomenon as they fill up with hash tag spam.

Google and Microsoft provide some paid traffic, but it is very expensive. Free traffic is the way to go. Here is a list of many proven winners.

    • Google images
    • List web sites
    • social media
    • you tube
    • amazon
    • forums
    • memes

Depending on your niche, look to different social media platforms. If you have a lot of great tips to share and can make attractive graphics, think about Facebook and Pinterest. By offering a snippit of what you are promoting, you can then pull people back to the page for the full offer.
