Starting An Online Business in 2016

Hi fellow warriors,

aint posted on here in a while. I Am not entirely new to internet marketing but have had a few runs with it and not been overly sucessfully as mainly involved myself in mlm's which i know now was a mistake and made a few sales as a result but nothing to get the ball rolling.

What i am asking is where would you suggest to start and i know now that i need a good mentor and guidance relating to choosing a niche and driving traffic and then converting said traffic into leads and then sales.

If anyone could point me in the right direction or give me a few tips to get me started, i dont need my hand to be held but i just need some sort of structure for a plan that i can follow and stick to.

I'm also looking for a mentor as i have discovered the past few times i tried to make this work it was what i was lacking and possibly one of the reasons for my failure if not the main reasons.

Any Advice would be greatly appreciated

2016 is going to be the year for me

Thanks
Elijah

As simple and as commonsense as what MValmont says... it really ring so true.
But yet so many people do not heed it.

Bottom line :Find a profitable system that fits your style and personality and one which is proven.. and just go with it
And concentrate on NOTHING else until you have Mastered it!

        But...but...WILL IT WORK?

How will I know it will work?

Can you PROMISE it will work?

Three days is how long I see people trying an idea before they hop along to the next shiny object.

Yep so true. People ask these questions and get paralyzed with them. It's really Fear ( and I imagine sometimes there is a degree of the Laziness factor involved here lol)

Fear of the unknown, fear that if they do this and it does not work the time and money wasted will "ruin my Life"

The fact is if it doesn't work you will still wake up the next day and see the Sun rise .

And here is the thing..everyone has to go through these Unknowns at some point in their Lives.

          EVERYONE !!

And to get to that next level you have to realize the biggest Successes are the ones where you take the biggest Risks

That's just the way it usually works in this Life

The mindset to have is: I will stick with this until I DO make it work.

Will the thing LOOK EXACTLY LIKE what you started with or initially imagined?

            Probably not!

            But it'll work.

That voice has to change from "I dunno..." to "This is MY responsibility, and I will figure it out!"

I would start just by reading these forums - there is a ton of great info, then pick one thing you want to master. Stick with it, don't jump around to different things. It will take a while to master it, but you should learn a ton!

    Elijah,

The fastest way your going to make money with online marketing is by getting a Coach. Like others mentioned you'll need to pick 1 traffic source and a niche to master. I am good at PPC Marketing on Google and BingAds. Another might good at PPV/CPV marketing (i suck at this, for now), and another at pay per call/mobile stuff...If you want to learn PPC pm me. Even if you don't want to learn PPC with me still find a COACH. No matter what...get yourself a COACH. Everything will be faster and easier because you will have a professional guiding you the whole time. If you want to make a $1 mil than hire somone who makes $1 mil. That simple. Again, the coach is key. PM me if your interested.

    Best Regards,

    Daniel

In the last three years you must have found what you are good at and what you are bad at. Pick a business model that fits to your strengths, no matter if it is design, writing, technical stuff, teaching etc. I would think about that point first before starting to pick niches. A mentor might be helpful for giving you constructive feedback and guiding you along the way but "the drive" needs to come from within you.

You need a mentor who can take you by the hand and show you step by step how to create a successful online business.
There are many out there. Do a google search, read the reviews and go with a good mentor.

I would start with a blog. Set up a self-hosted WordPress blog in your chosen niche and start creating top notch content for the blog. Write for people and not for the search engines. Write about a niche that you are passionate about.

Set goals for yourself and your blog. In the beginning you'll need to put up as many unique articles as you can. Make sure your content is killer. Visit top blogs in your niche and find out what they are writing about and then start creating content that is even better than theirs.

Brand yourself as an authority in your niche and start building your list from your blog. Once you have built up a decent sized blog following you can start to send out a product promo every once in a while.

I don't think you need to hire somebody to help you. There is plenty of great information about blogging for free. You can head over to YouTube and find tons of great ideas for blog posts.

All the information is out there for free. You don't need more info you need motivation. It's like diet and exercise; The information is literally at our fingertips, but we stay on the couch and can't figure out why "3-Minute Abs" didn't work that one time we used it for 7 days.

You say you don't need someone to hold your hand, but to me it sounds like that's exactly what you're looking for. Someone to physically get you off the couch and make you move. You can hire the greatest coaches in the world and it will still come back to you just getting off your a** and doing the work. Consistently. The hard way. Over and over. It DOES work.

Invest in the War Room to learn the basics of marketing any product online, and find someone in the "Warrior For Hire" section for mentoring.

    Hilo Elijah,

This question are going round the table without a definite answer, surely because there are no one way about it. You need to know the fundamental of Internet Marketing and purely your expectation. If you have high expectation, fast expectation, or you willing to try the learning curve of it. Its all depends on yourself and how much time & money you willing to spend on this believe of yours. If you think you have the same understanding, than message me . Hope you find your path...

The question you should ask yourself is How can I improve people's life or solve someone's problems.

I don't want to be the bearer of bad news, but a real mentor is costly. Think of it this way: if he or she is really successful, why would they give away their time for free? They wouldn't. And if they were to charge a price, it naturally follows that they'll charge at least what they would have made in the time they set aside for you.

So if someone is making $10,000 per month (which is not that much), don't expect them to dedicate you a lot of time for $300.

My recommendation is to find, as other people said, a system that you like and want to pursue, and simply stick to it until it either works or fails. In addition, find people you think they know what they're talking about, and ask for advice from time to time. But as with everything, don't pester them with questions day in, day out. People here are nice and wouldn't mind helping others, as long as you aren't obnoxious. And if possible, try to help them back as much as possible. The rule of thumb is to give back 3 times for every time they give you something.

Lastly, generally speaking, people selling coaching services here are not the best people to pay for advice. They have built their businesses around giving advice to other people, rather than working for themselves.

If you want, you can ask me about how to write emails and ebooks. It's about the only thing I know, and I'm glad to help (for free, obviously!).

    Good luck.
