please help in choosing an affiliate management software

Hi Warriors,

A friend of mine runs a web development company and is looking at the possibility of having affiliates hepl him generate leads and promote his products.(CMS system, hosting, web dev...)

He is looking for a software to manage the whole process.

-registering affiliates
-tracking and managing leads
-assigning commissions
-providing resources ( banners...etc..)

He would like to be fully in control of the software , his technical skills are excellent (windows , linux, web) so technical abilities will not be an issue .
(might consider SAS solution, so mention them anyway...)

Cost is always a concern but not necessary a show stopper

Let me have a few
URL for him to check as well as some more detailed reviews if you have the
time and inclination.

Again, Thank you in advance for your help.

I'm looking to use 1ShoppingCart.com when my business has grown a little more, there $99/pm package includes affiliate management as well as all their payment processing and autoresponder services.

I've also heard some good things about Infusionsoft this is a high-end product and quite costly but is consider the bee's knees for Affiliate Management and Email Marketing, etc.

Sorry these aren't more detailed reviews not a big enough business yet to justify the software.

  • I have used:

    1shoppingcart
    AssocTrac
    ClickBank
    CCBill
    PayDotCom
    Commission Junction

Choosing one over the others for me works a little like this:

    1. Can I offer the product(s) through the tracking system?

ClickBank has a number of advantages, but they will not allow you to sell at some price points or sell non-digital goods.

    2. Does their marketplace make finding good affiliates easier?

ClickBank, PayDotCom and CCBill all give you some advantage in recruiting affiliates in certain niches. Using AssocTrac for 7 years meant I had to "find" affiliates on my own--which I did--but at times having a product listed in ClickBank's marketplace makes the job easier.

Also, in certain niches, everyone already has a ClickBank ID, so it's easier for them to begin offering your product.

    3. Is having my domain in every incoming link important to my marketing?

While I have work arounds for this I use, with 1ShoppingCart, ClickBank, PayDotCom and CCBill the affiliates will not have your domain in their incoming link.

While having the link helps marginally with SEO in showing Big G the topic of your site and increasing overall link popularity (debatable), having your domain show up on sites all over a particular niche can have powerful advantages.

    4. Can I afford it?

Commission Junction--which I used for just one lead building CPA offer--has a very high buy in (or at least it did a few years ago.) Somewhere around $10K if I remember correctly.

CCBill, PayDotCom and ClickBank are cheap initially, but ClickBank's fees add up over time.

AssocTrac has a steeper upfront fee, and over time you pay a great deal in back-end fees.

idevaffiliate is without a doubt the best script for this, you control everything (it's a script you host yourself) and their support is top notch.

I would go with jvmanager which has gone through several upgrades and is now called delavo. But you can only get delavo through a delavo "ambassador" who has the rights to
    give it way for free.

I use it every day and it runs my six figure business perfectly and I am only one guy.

If you get the F1.18 upgrade package for $2997 you can do a hell of a lot more that
almost any affiliate program management system out there such as create invoices,
offer coupons, discount codes, offer reward points, have 100% commission resellers, have multi tiered affiliate programs (actually unlimited tiers) assign an assistant with
limited access, use paypal, clickbank, 2checkout, Authorize.net, Google Checkout, and a host of other payment services.

perfect, this is exactly what I wanted to ask today.

In addition to what's been mentioned, it looks like 1shoppingcart's real good and many ppl seem to use it.

Which other ones have you noticed bigger marketers use? (other than infusionsoft)
TPFLegionaire: hows the progress on your research?

      Thanks,

If I remember right I had a business partner who used a service called Infusionsoft or something to that effect which seemed a very good system, I would like to hear any reviews of anyone who knows anything about it as I am not looking for a good affiliate manage software also

I know what you mean, I've just come out of one of those phases

2 other people mentioned 1shoppingcart being a solid choice, then Post Affiliate Pro is a decent alternative (less features and support tho)

I'm leaning towards 1scart and really interested in nanacast.com

I'll also be checking this thread. (in case someone has a link to another thread with info, it'll be much appreciated)

      Take care,
      Nahyan

    Hi,

Yes, look at Delavo - you can get the free version through promotions currently and have a look at it's suitabilty.

    The basic framework:

    -registering affiliates - Yes
-tracking and managing leads - Additional Plugin for CPA style tracking (Top referers by clicks - built in to basic framework)
    -assigning commissions - Included
-providing resources ( banners...etc..) - Additional Plugin for complete range of banners, e-mails, etc.

Thanks to Danny for the mention above :-)

      Hi guys

i am testing Delavo at the moment but I am not sure how to create the package for a physical product. I will have a membership as an upsell as well but I am not sure how to integrate the physical product sale into the fullfillment companies interface.

      Any advice would be useful

    Hi,

You would get a speedier response from the Delavo forum bit I will try to answer here.

To create a package for a physical product is just the same as a digital product - you just don't download anything.

    Which fullfillment company - Kunaki?
