Should I promote an Affiliate that has an Opt-In?

I found an affiliate that has a great sales letter. The thing that bothers me is that they have their own opt-in form on their sales letter. Will they steal my sale?

What do you guys think? Have you guys had good success with these types of affiliates?

  • The optin doesn't make them steal, look at clickbank some top offers have no optin but do on exit, what happens if they don't buy with your affiliate link then optin on the exit pop them get email but open on second computer click on it then buy?

Opt-in can be a good thing. People may not be ready to buy imediately after they follow your affiliate link, but by going onto a list they can be marketed to over and over again, giving you a better chance to make affiliate income.

The key is knowing if you can trust that the affiliate offer will pay you if they go on a list.

If they are backed by a big company like Clickbank or JVZoo then you should be fine.

Yes, as long as you make sure you send the traffic to your own squeeze page first and ask they opt into your list before you send them to the affiliate site that has opt-in list. This way, you can always promote other offers to the subscribers as long as they stick with your list.

    Just my 2 cents

No you will still get credit most of the time.

Thing today you NEED to do with any affiliate promoting is separate yourself from the 100,000 other affiliates.

You do that by building your own funnel leading into your affiliate product.

It's vital you do that today or you will bet burned out. I PROMISE

      NO !! NO !! NO !!!

As a rule I almosty never promote an Affiliate product that has an Optin on their Sales Pages.

Sorry, Iam not going to produce 'free' Leads for Vendors and cause that much more competition for me.

They can piggyback traffic off someone else. Fact is their are too many great Vendors with great Sales Pages that do NOT have Optins or exit pop optins

      I'll pass

Clickbank and many other affiliate programs install cookies that last for up to 60 days.

So if you send someone to a sales page and the user signs up but does not buy at time, rather they come back 30 days later and buy you still get the credit.

But why did they come back? because the vendor set them up on a funnel that helped both of you out.

I agree with ToonChooi Tan however. It is best to send the user to own funnel first so you can also do the follow ups with your affiliate link.

Either way, sign up on the vendors list and see what content they send out.

I wouldn't specifically not promote an offer due to this.

If you like the sales letter, promote it. You should get credit if they opt in and then but at a later time.

Reach out to the product creator and ask how long they have been running the sales page. If they've been around a while they are most likely legit.

It wouldn't stop me from promoting the product if it's something that I think my list will really benefit from. Most product vendors nowadays have some form of lead capture on their sales pages whether it be a pop-up opt-in form, exit pop, etc.

I'm not sure why you would send traffic that's already on your list through another funnel to get to the affiliate product since they are already on your list, but I guess that's a good idea if it's new traffic coming in.

Let's say you want to promote the product using paid traffic, it would be crazy not to send the paid traffic to your squeeze page first and then redirect to the affiliate offer so that you can get the most out of your paid traffic buy.

They could. Me personally i never promote an affiliate offer that has an email opt-in form embedded in the sales letter. It turns me off, and it turns alot of other affiliates off too.

There's just too many other options available to you, and if there aren't any other options available to me, and i think it's a bangin' and profitable niche.... i'll create product(s) for it myself.
