Goodafternoon!

Quick question when it comes to finding a niche for Affiliate Marketing, as in being an affiliate for a product that there is a demand for, what kind of tools do you use? I've been just using adwords to see high ranking clicks, but I'm unsure of other strategies. Curious on what you guys do.

Thanks!

  • I've usually relied on the data on the clickbank marketplace or the jvzoo marketplace. But that's cause I mostly promote digital stuff. I've heard of people using amazon's best sellers page to see what's hot for physical products.

I list out my passions first....

Then I filter based on CPC at Adwords

Next, I filter based on monthly search volume

Then I filter based on competition levels.

After this, I also check out Twitter, Reddit, Facebook groups, and other social media channels to see how social media-FRIENDLY the niche is.

After I am done with this process, I get a NICHE I can promote EAGERLY without running out of emotional steam.

    That's crucial.

Don't just do it for the money....

Do it because you LOVE IT.

No I don't mind at all.

        Niche selection is crucial.

wirteaway has some reaslly good points.

I also think getting a "general buzz" about a Niche and a Aff. Product within that Niche is a good thing to consider.

Go to Forums, visiting blogs, reading Emails from Big Time Promoters etc.etc... this is a good way to 'feel the buzz' going on so to speak

Longtail Pro -- Anything under 40KC (30 preferred), more than 3k searches (5k preferred), with at least a $10 commission on Amazon (bigger, the better).
