4 sales in 30 minues!

Vendor here:

Was watching analytics, suddenly noticed 7 to 10 visitors on vsl.

170 hoplinks, 4 sales in almost 30 min and then the traffic stopped.

Check them and noticed it's the same affiliate.

That was 4 sales each $47.

Is that good or bad news? He stopped sending so I assume it's not very good.

Why would an affiliate do that? Let me know what just happened.

Thanks

Hello Mr Lukas, I love your films!

It could be that the affiliate was testing traffic, or that they made a post on social media that got a quick hit of traffic but then got buried in people's timelines.

The only way to know for sure is to reach out to the affiliate and ask them. There might be ways you can support them to help drive more sales.

He probably emailed his list, or a portion of his list.

4/180 is just over 2% on who knows what kind of traffic, which is fine.

Most affiliate traffic I've ever seen hasn't been a continuous firehose spray of hops...more one-time blasts.

NO, because we do not have access to your analytics or any other information from your side. What we can do is guess.

And, the best guess so far is that the affiliate sent out a promotional email and got some sales. This email could have been a test on their part and may or may not email a larger portion of their list. Or, maybe they will be sending out a series of emails promoting your product. Or, it was a fluke and you got some lucky sales.

      but those are just guesses

        Hey al;

You just gave some useful info. Now where's that smile? You like to say no a lot don't you? Do I hear no again?.... Messing with you al, don't take it all so seriously.

There's some analytics above... Didn't you see it?

        Cheers xo

That's what usually happens to me with affiliate traffic. There are lots of ups and downs... 4 sales in 30 minutes sounds great, but in this case it's not so good.

Like someone mentioned here before maybe affiliate was using his email list and so on, as I realize not all of the affiliates are very intrested in focusing on one product, there are lots of cases that they use their method on selling one product let's say just like in your case, and after that they move on on other one

My guess is that he sent out a swipe to his list, or bought a solo ad and that is the spike in sales from your affiliate.

Unless you are new affiliate using the Insights on the home page, you are not allowed to contact a vendor, i believe. If so I have not found a way.

This is why most vendors make affiliates sign up before they can get to their affiliate tools page so they know who they are and are able to contact them.

      Best of luck and congrats,

That's good, but can be better. I make 3000+ sales per month. 4 sales is just small deal.

Check your Google Analytics. It will tell you where the traffic came from unless the affiliate is semi-intelligent and cloaking their link through a double meta refresh redirect.

My bet is on email traffic based on the short burst with high 10% conversions.

    Hi George,

There could be several reasons for this:

    1. He/She might have stopped getting further sales using same strategy.
    2. Strategy might be short-lived with other products taking over.
    3. Affiliate might have stopped promoting the product further due to time or other issues.
    4. The product is no longer clicking well with the audience.

Try to find out by getting in touch with your affiliate personally through chat, email, phone, or meeting up. Guide him/her and motivate as a mentor.

    Thanks,
    Chintan

Wow you got four sales thats good, now if you have any doubts over it just wait and see if you get the Refunds. And like Jason Kanigon said I could be from an affiliate sending your link to his hot list. Any way don't sweat over it wait out and see what happens..

4 sales in 30 minutes is quite good. Pity he stopped sending them to it. Hoping your success grows from there.

I would assume that your affiliate just sent promotional email with time-based clause to his email lists. Anyway, 4 sales in 30 minutes is great! I'm certain more will come.
