CPA vs Affiliate Marketing Question?

I was wondering what you guys thought about CPA marketing vs affiliate marketing and do you guys think CPA blows regular Affiliate marketing out of the water? I'm really confused right now because I just made 1 clickbank sale but it has taken me about 2 months to get that sale, when CPA looks much easier. What do you guys suggest for a guy who has never dipped in the CPA waters.

    I personally do both myself and have for a few years now. CPA can be easier depends on the offer and all products can be good if you take the time to know your audience. But if you have a good product you are promoting it doesn't really matter as long as you know who you are trying to promote to as well as know how to get it to the right people.     There's good and bad in both. CPAs are easier to convert, however they take a lot more maintenance to keep them up. The different offers come and go all of the time. Meaning you'll have to redo webpages and links all of the time.
