Help I can't find images!

Hey folks.

So I'm starting a new niche/authority site in the 'spooky stuff' niche (i.e. witches, goblins, werewolves, and stuff like that) and I'm having a really hard time finding images. There's plenty of cartoonish stuff but I need quality images to accentuate the atmosphere of my site.

I'm willing to pay a reasonable price for the images ($5-10) but the 2 sites I've found are charging $33-40 per image and they aren't even very good. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

On a side note, I'm thinking maybe I can use book and movie covers from amazon as my images and have them link to the products since I will be doing amazon affiliate marketing on the site anyway.
The problem is that google images has better movie and book covers than Amazon does for the same item. I know a forum isn't a substitute for actual legal advice but does anyone know if it would be ok to use the google image movie cover as long as I am linking to that movie on Amazon?

Thanks!

Try Freepik.com and Pixabay. Pixabay doesn't require attribution, but I advise you to read the TOS.

Thanks for the suggestions! I tried those but it's all cartoon-y stuff in my category.

You can sign up as an affiliate at All Posters and then use images of their posters with an affiliate link for the image.

I would also dig through public domain image collections looking for old classic horror stuff.

Really good suggestions! Thanks! I hadn't heard of All Posters before. I wonder if posters sell well. Hmm

I've looked through a little bit of public domain stuff. Mostly box covers and posters but maybe I should dig deeper. There might be some individual frames in the movie itself that would make a good image.

Guess I have some work to do lol.

I'm not sure about selling but they have some great horror posters- like the original Texas Chainsaw Massacre -that look great as images.

Use their search. They have more than movie and entertainment posters.

      Hey there

For some of my sites I use shutterstock, they have millions of images to choose from.

But be careful you will need to include an attribution link for the standard license etc.

But you can definitely find some pictures you are looking for on there..they have great search function by keyword...hope that helps!!
