What To Do If You're A Newbie And You Want To Make A Solid Income Online
If you want to make money online, you have to learn how to simplify everything.
Break everything down into small steps, knowing that those small steps will lead up to a big achievement or result.
Personally, I recommend building a business around solving a universal problem that affects people negatively.
The big universal problems that are very profitable include, dating/relationship problems, weight loss/health problems, and money/business problems. Each one of those problems can be broken down into smaller more specific problems.
It's important to find a specific problem that you're going to solve. The success of your online business will be dependent on how well you can solve that problem and how many people you can solve that problem for.
When people have a problem that affects them in a negative and emotional way, they will do anything they can to solve that problem (which means they will pay you for the solution).
Knowing this you can decide on how you're going to solve this specific problem.
Are you going to provide the solution with your own product?
Are you going to provide the solution with your own service?
Are you going to provide the solution by leveraging someone else's product or service (affiliate marketing)?
You could even do a combination of the three, but it would be wise to start with one.
Your offer must be a real problem solver.
If you can find an affiliate product to get behind, then great, but you must make sure the product truly delivers on all promises being made.
Once you decide how you're going to solve the problem (with your product or promoting a product as an affiliate), next you need to learn as much as you can about your niche and your target audience.
Once you do your research you will have a firm understanding of where your target audience hangs out.
Your target audience may be hanging on specific forums, YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, blogs, etc.....
Once you figure out where your target audience is, you need to get involved in those platforms and communities and position yourself as an authority in your niche.
Provide your target audience with free advice, actionable content, and step-by-step methods they can use to solve their problems within your niche.
Some people may want more detailed or actionable info from you which you will provide in your products or the products you promote.
To help with branding, you should create a blog or a main site where people can learn more about you, and also learn more about your recommended products and services.
On your site you can have an opt-in form where people can sign up to your email list where you can send them more free content and promote your products via email.
From that point you can look at more ways to monetize your efforts, such as
• Paying for traffic (using Facebook ads, Bing ads, Solo ads, YouTube video ads, etc....).
• Adding more products to your funnel.
• Providing 1-on-1 coaching.
• Testing your pages and offers and improve conversions.
• Partnering up with other authorities in your niche/market and launch a brand-new product or service.
There are so many ways to scale your online business, but you have to start with a good foundation.
This is the exact blueprint I would follow and recommend for anyone starting out or anyone who wants to build a solid online business and make lots of money online.
Now let's get into specifics. There are three different ways I make money in my online business:
• Product sales
• Affiliate marketing
• 1-on-1 coaching
Let me show you how you can combine product sales, affiliate marketing, and 1-on-1 coaching which will result in multiple streams of income.
So, we've already talked about how you need to provide solutions to problems.
Well, one way to provide a solution to a problem, is by packaging the solution up into a digital product.
You could create an ebook, video course, audio course, membership site, or a combination of an ebook, videos, and audios.
I recommend you choose the product type that will allow your customers to get the most benefit.
For example, if you're teaching people how to make connections with the opposite sex through conversation, you might want to make a video course where you can give a visual demonstration of how this should be done. An ebook or audio course would work, but it wouldn't be as beneficial as a video course with visual demonstrations of a successful connection through conversation.
Next, you need to outline your product.
Start with an introduction, and then follow-up the introduction with step 1, step 2, so on and so forth.
Outline your product in such a way, that if someone was to go through and follow the steps in order, he/she should be able to solve the specific problem at hand.
Once you're done with outline you will need to create the actual product. Simply start with a main idea for each step, and fill in the product with the details.
After the completion of the product you will need to create a sales page. A sales page is normally a letter or video that explains what the products is about and why the individual may need it.
Once the sales page is created it's time to start marketing the product.
Some of the ways you can market your product include: affiliate recruitment, PPC, Facebook advertising, Bing advertising, Solo ads, YouTube video marketing, content marketing, email marketing, banner advertising, etc....
When people buy your product you want to ensure that you add them to an autoresponder (Getresponse ,Aweber , or Mailchimp to name a few). Once they're added to your autoresponder you can email them in the future.
Knowing this, you can setup a series of automated emails promoting related offers as an affiliate, and you can promote your 1-on-1 coaching services.
That is exactly what I do.
I sell my own products, then I market related products and services via email to my list of email subscribers.
Once you have a decent funnel of products and services to promote you can focus most of your time on marketing and increasing your conversions.
Like I said earlier, you want to keep things simple.
Simplicity is your best friend.
