Can Aweber automatically block buyers from...

Can Aweber do this or do I need something else.....

There must be some way that when a user is subscribed to list "A" then some rule prevents them from signing up for list "B"

I do not want my buyers to be able to get on the same list as new leads.

Once I set up an automation rule to unsubscribe from from the leads list they get put on a buyers list.

However, now they theoretically could go back if I did new promotions on my facebook page (and post a link to a free giveaway for example) and subscribe to the lead list all over again and get the follow up emails directed at the leads list even though that person is a buyer and shouldn't be getting sales emails.

Can Aweber even do this?

Thanks

You can call Aweber Monday thru Friday during business hours and they will tell you.

My guess is going to be that there is a way to do this.

I know there is a way of segmenting when sending an email, and there is likely a way of cross referencing the lists - so if your people tried to sign up again they just wouldn't get a confirmation request sent or something along those lines.

But have not tried this so can't tell you for sure.

Well I'm not sure if you can do that or not with AWeber, I would imagine you could...

However... I wonder why you wouldn't use those free giveaways for those that have already landed on your buyers list? If you're worried about them resubscribing, why don't you use it as a free giveaway to those already on the buyers list, so you can further segment your buyers list? That way, they are less likely to opt in to the new/old list anyway, and you know what other information they're interested in.

because the free giveaway to leads it a part of what the buyers already purchased.... its a "bonus" in the members section of what they already bought..

Uhm did you try using the Aweber automation tools?

It's in the top right hand corner, below List Settings...

Their support is also quite helpful so just live chat them

    Cheers

There are many internet marketer bloggers who complain that Aweber is not able to do things like this in an easy manner.

Awhile back I watched a video made by some blogger saying that he found a better alternative that was very easy to change what list an email subscriber is on and such. I believe the system he said he used was Constant Contact although I may be remembering that wrong. You will have to look into it.

Of course buyers should get sales emails.

Since you're giving it away simply for an opt-in - it's really not much of a "bonus" is it? If your interest is to truly segregate your list, try to refine that segmentation by NOT offering the same "freebie" in different places.

If it is a benefit of a paid membership - you shouldn't be giving it away elsewhere.

Come up with a totally different incentive offer for lead generation.
