How Do You Decide On Which Clickbank Products To Promote?

Hey Warriors

I am looking into promoting more affiliate products through click bank first then going on to create my own products and selling them, I am looking to primarily use adwords to generate traffic,

I am not new to this as I do alot of offline stuff with businesses and I make a good living with the direct sales company I am with, all of the money I make comes through adword and SEO.

What I am looking for is some help and advice on how to pick what products to promote through click bank, I mean is there specific things you guys look for when deciding what products to promote? ie gravity, sales letter or conversions.

Any help appreciated.

Thanks
Bryan

Gravity is a good start. Commission % should be taken into consideration as well.

Also, you can contact the product creator and ask about the conversion rate and refund rate.

Also, inquire about a review copy. If they won't send you one and you still want to promote the product, I'd suggest you go ahead and buy it. If it's junk, get your refund and move on to the next potential product. If it's good, you have a basis for your endorsement.

      All great ideas!

Also you may want to venture into lower gravity products with less competition but have great sales pages that convert. Remember everybody starts at the bottom of clickbank. Of course some have massive launches that catapult them to number 1 overnight but I think most people climb slower so there are gems out there you just have to look for them.

          Alexa,

          Interesting point...

Would you consider the Weight Loss Niche something to stay away from? It is highly competitive. But, there seems to be almost endless subniches within the Weight Loss niche that maybe this is a highly competitive niche that still can be tapped.

I've been considering this niche for a while....just wondering what your thoughts are.

Lance is on the right track, this is some good advice. Additionally you can see the product popularity/refund rate/ trends at Make Money with ClickBank, Helping Affiliates to Make Money with ClickBank | Click Bank Trends and Analytics trying promoting products that are rising in popularity and have a low refund rate.

Buying a copy is always a good idea because you see the procvess right to the end, the sales page the thank you and the aftersales. It is often the aftersales and thank you that tells you far more than the sales page.

A few simple rules that I follow for niche/product selection:

    1) Firstly.... Ignore gravity altogether - I know it's great to see a product is selling "well", but there are so many other factors to an affiliate sales funnel that if you focus on gravity.. chances are.. you'll fry your brain.

    2) You need to fully appreciate and understand that Saturation is a myth. Our job as affiliates is to find the angles... you may think that you'll find it easier to jump into an "uncompetitive" niche, but I can bet my house on it that you can find a way into all niches easily enough if you find the angles. <- I do this all the time. It's not theory.

    3) Before you even think about products, you need to find people. People buy products... they are going to buy them with or without your recommendation...

Do what you can to make it with

    4) Send traffic to your own squeeze page first. Build a list, ask them what THEY want.. and then source a product to give to them (or create your own)

    5) Sales page. Although you can by-pass this if necessary, I much prefer to know that the product creator has put some time into converting my traffic.. so look for a sales page that is ready to move the numbers you need to get a good R.O.I.

I know that most of the above is not specifically how to choose a clickbank product, but in my experience.. most of the affiliates who struggle to turn big numbers are the ones who focus too much on "clickbank" and not enough on providing the consumer with a solution.

Clickbank is simply the transaction point to give the consumer what they want. Nothing more, nothing less... I focus my efforts more on the process than I do on where the sale takes place.

    Peace

To be very honest with you, when I look at a product I would have to review it first just so that It looks intelligent enough to promote it. Having had career change-needs due to our global economic recession, I would say that I do take into consideration the people that might be in the same kind of boat as I was.

So intelligence and claims would worth to be able to fit with what is inside. If the sales page is good enough but the product is no good then again that could be a problem also (to me) as I believe that relevant links are making happy consumers and eventually happy students. Who knows how long the string is.

Another aspect of a product obviously will be a Niche; if you can sell a box of matches online you should not really have a problem selling the Globe if it was on sale! : ) again that is just me, my own observations may seem quite strictly and differently filtered than of someone else's'.

Oh, and since I have been criticised on my English recently I do apologize in advance, it is my third language...oh there is something else as well...non English speaking markets...GOLDMINES brothers..

    Sincerely,
    Kazooli

How can you find out how well a product converts? would you need to ask the creator how well the sales page converts or is there a way to see this in clickbank?

Also what would you say was a good convertion rate?
