How do you get traffic for a site like dating websites?

Hi,

I have created a few websites, it's a social network to make friends from 20 different countries and each sites also allow to create classsified ads.

The sites have maybe 95% of the features that you can find on the dating websites.
Except they are not dating websites, you don't look for a wife but a friend or a business partner.

What I do the best is to create community/social network projects from scratch (so I don't do blogs, dont use CMS etc).

Most of the time the guys like me are not entrepreneur, they work for big companies take their big incomes at the end of the month and that's all...

One thing I'm not good at is getting trafic, promote the websites in the social networks etc...

The only think I know is to create PPC ads, and It's not possible actually because I don't have enough money (I invested a lot in the project).

So actually the situation is:

I have 20 websites to promote (1 per country ), they are built like dating website so once they will start to work it will probably reach the million, like almost all the "good" dating websites (there are a few products to sell like subscriptions).

But I need help to start the engine...

To give you more informations, in this busines you need between 100 and 200 registred members with photos on their profile. This is all what you need to give confidence to the news users.. because when they come the first time on your site they have the feeling that many members are already using the service.

So the first foal for me is to manage to have 100 to 200 ppl on the sites.


So If you have a few advices to give me, that would be cool...

Ps: please don't try to sell me an ebook I'm not here for that

Also: the most iteresting for me would be a real partnership with a few people who are good to redirect (qualified) trafic to a website (and I will share the incomes if it works).

Or, if you know a way for me to have passive incomes or stuff like that, It could be interesting because I will be able to invest a few $ each months.

    Hi,

    There are many ways to drive traffic to your site.

    You can use forums, Facebook, Youtube, Twitter... mainly
    social media is where it's at for getting free traffic.

    For Youtube you may need to learn basic video skills but the
    rest are wording things properly and linking to your page.

      Facebook was one of my ideas but you can easily be blocked or put in facebook jail for a few weeks... you need to do everything slowly to avoid being concidered as spamer ):

    There are many ways to get traffic. Social media is not really good buying traffic in my personal opinion but then again if you have an offer that converts with social media but also sound like your going after serps or search engine results pages. If you are running a business you want traffic on demand. And you need a budget. Even if its just 10 or 20 dollars to start with. I would pick search ppc

      10 or 20 dollars per days ? If this is per day I can't ):

      PPC... for a good promotion you need a budget of $3000-$4000/month I think, no?

      The websites are "social", I should be able to find a few members in Facebook...
      I tried 2 days ago, but my account has been sent to jail for 2 weeks...

      It was a new account and I joined maybe 20 groups related to "make friends".
      and I posted in 2 of them.

      The 3rd time, the account was not able to post... and when I checked the reason, I saw that the account would not be able to post until feb 17....

      This is maybe because the account is new...

      I d'ont want to use my real fb account to do that ):

      SO I have to find another free solution, this is very frustrating to have a project with a lot of potential but to no manage to find a way to make it start...

        You can start using Google Alerts to find your audience and interact with them whatever they are.

        I think that visual content will be more effective in your niche, maybe Pinterest, Tumblr and Instagram can be the best traffic sources for you, more than Facebook, Twitter, Google+, etc.

        You can also check Reddit, but don't expect to make traffic out of nowhere, you need to invest time, be active, be social, share, like and start making presence to your audience. Focus your time, don't give up because things are not going to be easy, stick with your plan and results will come for sure.

            Tried this for a time with my website http://www.zafza.com/ but didn't work well. The free social media only works when you have a brand that is widely known.
