eCommerce marketing techniques

Hi Everyone!

I have started an eCommerce furniture store a few months ago and yet to see my first sale. I have been working on onsite seo, just starting offsite seo at the moment...I have run Facebooks ads with successful website clicks, however no conversions. I dropship all my products from the manufacturer. FYI most of my products are expensive and I am trying to target the right audience for the luxury home furnishings market.

What marketing techniques can I use to get my first sale?

    I'd be getting something going on pinterest for that.

    Are you able to show pictures of the furniture in an actual setting or are you just showing individual items?

    High end furniture really needs to be displayed and themed.

      I've been using Pinterest. I have 40 boards, 400 pins, a mix of my products and other onterior design inspiration. As of now most of my images are the product on a white background. I will have to source lifestyle images of these products. I dropship all my furniture/home decor, so I am limited to the manufacturer's images.

      When you mentioned 'themed' do you mean the furniture should be in a theme category such as brass lighting instead of pendant lighting?

    I would also set up a Instagram account as good photos will get likes and pull the rich and narcissistic,

    Who will also re-post the photos.
    Make sure you have a link in the bio to the website , good luck

      Instagram is a good option and then taking advantage of companies offering Instagram Shoutouts. Checkout an article on that here.
