Now I Have My Own Blog, Up And Running; How, Now, to Promote?

My blog, is here: noitartst.com

It needs work, I know, but Boostblogtraffic.com/ says I should focus, on promotion, and not getting my blog perfect. Other than changing the name to my "Blog Archives," and also by showing my most recent blog posts, I think I am ready to do so.

Maybe I am, now; my game plan is to hire myself out to other bloggers, via hiring sites, using my blog archives as resume.

Sound like a solid plan?

    Dear Noitartst,

I took a quick look at your site and it looks as though you are very much into the arts.

We've all got to start somewhere, but I was thinking that if you are wanting to promote your website

then you might want to start with some of these ideas.

So From my experience you will need to focus more on a niche of some sort rather than just being

broad.( I see you are into politics as well-nothing wrong with that but stick to one subject that

becomes what you mainly speak about)

So if you are into the arts and poetry, (because you seem poetic) then perhaps you may want to blog

about something specific like the study of a famous painting or something people can relate to , like

the Mona Lisa. This is just an example so don't laugh.

Anyway you seem quite talented but I feel you need to pick one of those talents and focus them more into your postings.

It also helps to look at those who are doing it and learn about how you can leverage your talents by

mimicking them until you feel you have your own flow going.

Typically you could become one of those who could be hired out for 'copy'-(writing material for others).

My best advice would be to stick with one niche and write about how you experience it in your life.

Then as you move along with it, more ideas will come and you will learn more.

Perhaps in your 'Services' button you should put something like-Please leave your contact details

here(and leave a contact form) for ease of applying.

    Hope this helps Jennifer

BTW I am an Aussie, but I have been to the Beautiful Puget Sound and my sister lives in Gig

Harbour. Her inlaws live in Shelton .....Anderson lane.....how funny

NB-Take photos of the beautiful Puget sound and a photo of you and put it into your 'About' section....people want to know about you and see who you are....that Sound is so beautiful....you need to add everything to enrich your website.

I would propose that you might narrow your Focus in what you are talking about in your blog. It seems a very general outlook on politics and what is going on in the World. Maybe narrow it down Geo wise or a particular political category i.e. Conservatives, women etc..

I don't know , that is what comes off the top of my head.

But I can tell you have a lot of stuff in that head of yours.. which is definitely a very positive thing. And that is way ahead of the crowd. Just learn how to best put it in a concise and organized matter

Well, first, I need to find an audience. Of a specific topic. It I did it on US intervention in the Middle East, I'd need to find the places my audience congregates. I don't know I'm there, yet, but I'd need to go to certain news forums I've found, as well as Quora, but as I intend to Guest Blog, I'll need to find bloggers of the similar topic, and bent.

I'm wrapping my brain around just the logistics, at present. Right now, I'm just trying to find someone that can help alter my site, when needed.

As to looking at other bloggers...hm. I read many articles over Google News, but I don't follow any bloggers in those niches, because I don't know how to find them. If I wanted to find blogs hawkish on US foreign policy, how would I find them?

Those are all good ideas, really; part of the problem, is , I'm not a good site builder, and am learning as I go, and am at present, pretty much making a hash of things, as you've all noticed.

I'm currently trying to find a sufficiently cheap designer, and ran an ad on Craigslist for $10 an hour.

I was up front about the money I offered, and got a lot of bites, but they all strangely flaked. I could raise the money, but how they flaked was very strange.

I hope to make contact with someone competent at building websites before the end of February, but till then, I am still looking. I is either that or take classes, but can't afford them, at this time.

I think I'm just looking for someone that can guide me through site changes, when and where I need them, like I have someone that can help me video edit. After that, I need to focus on marketing, and content.

I have some antiappeasement ideas, but don't know where on the web I could find such an audience. On my anti-feminism, I've a few ideas where I can find support. Pickup artists, a lot of atheists, and others seem open to what I'm selling, there, but that's a small piece of it. I like socio-political commentary, and am trying to figure out where to stick my needle in.

Beyond that, I'm trying to create a routine for myself, writing for others, as well as my own blog.
      Sooo...
      1. I need I site-building expert that can help me.
      2. I need to start making money producing content for other sites.
      3. I need to start funneling their viewers back to my blog.

P.S.: Who are her in-laws? There's an outside shot I've heard of them, if they're prominent.

    Hi Noitarts,

Just saw your Website and these are my comments:

    1) Focus on creating High-quality content. You definitely need to get some ideas and content to your website. Without content, don't expect to have traffic.
    2) Work on the design of your website too. Try to make it user-friendly.
    3) Once you have Step 1 and step 2 in place, you can start promoting. Where to promote? Start sharing your content in relevant FB groups, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest, ping your website and create some backlinks.

Feel free to ask me any question or send me a PM. I will gladly help you.

    Hi there,

I just saw your blog. I think your blog needs a complete makeover in terms of content, and design to a little bit extent. Till the time your blog doesn't have enough relevant and informative content to display, there is no way your blog can crawl higher on Google.

    Regards,

Well, before you promote anything you must have a solid structure

there is a fine line between over perfecting things and make sure you are doing them right..

The idea here is the following

      1. you want to build a blog to promote your service or product,

      2. once you do that then you want to get traffic to it

      3. and then you MUST test your blog to see how you can improve it.

You can not skip step 3 because then you are flying blind!

So when you are advised to promote your blog instead of perfecting it..

the reason behind that is that you will never know if the "perfecting" you are doing is actually going to make any difference

because you do not have the traffic to test your modifications

      But on the other hand,

you must make sure your blog fountation is solid not "perfect" before you start driving traffic to it..

the best way to do this, is to look at other people's blog who are already successfull doing what you are trying to do.

and mimic their ideas, (do not copy them) Use their concepts and add your own spin to it.

those other bloggers are having success, so why not follow in their footsteps
