Is usage of Subdomain for Affiliate Marketing is still good?

Hi,

I am planning to start a website primarily focusing a particular broad niche. Is it right thing to use sub-domains to promote affiliate products from clickbank, jvzoo or any affiliate sites? Does it hurt any rankings for my Main Domain due to these Sub Domains? Or will i get penalized on my Main Domain?

Something like,
MainNiche.com
Affiliate1.MainNiche.com
Affiliate2.MainNiche.com

    I cannot say for sure but my view on problem is this : You will be sending bunch of traffic from different traffic sources to your landing pages, which will probably have higher bounce rate , than you main domain, so I think it can hurt a bit your main domain.

    It would be better to purchase new domain for these affiliate landing pages .
