Youtube/Clickbank Hop link

will youtube allow me to post a clickbank hop link in the description? Or will this potentially get my video banned or worse my account?

not a good idea. Fastest way to lose your channel! Get a domain and redirect

Youtube doesn't like that, don't do that.

But, there is some ninja trick you can use instead to sneak by and it's totally legal.

You can redirect any domain you have inside your hosting panel to the clickbank link, so you just leave that domain in your description and it's like leaving the clickbank link, just without breaking the rules.

If the offer goes down, just redirect your domain to other product, you don't need to edit any other link because you're using your own domain and it's the same only with a new destination.

    Hope this can help you

As mentioned above, that's probably not a good idea…

Also, as a side note, if you're serious about growing an online business you need to be collecting emails. Simply make a simple squeeze page which leads to your affiliate offer. This way you can collect their email address to market to them later as well as get your affiliate offer in front of them.

So put your squeeze page url in your Youtube video description and boom! Now you're getting emails and promoting an affiliate offer at the same time!

I hope that helps and good luck

It will let you but nobody likes clicking those big ugly links. It looks bad. Create a free website and redirect them there. It will convert a lot more!

    Hi poopyBicycles,
I hav'nt looked up Youtube's Terms lately, but you can use a php redirect script inside an index.php file.

Place that inside a folder name of your choice.

Choose a general domain name that describes your marketing direction.

Create as many redirect links as you like with your own domain name branding and a call to action of some kind.

    http://yourdomain.com/go-here for example!

Of course setting up a landing page is a good move to consider too.

If you are really clever, you could set up a landing page and followup emails for each product you promote, or just promote related products with one main list.

If you want to capture some of those buyers, then set up a bonus and deliver it requiring an email form entry and some kind of confirmation or receipt of sale.

It is the buyers list you want to create...

    cheers, Mal.

I wouldn't do it. I would send viewers to a squeeze page or a blog.
