Skype Spam Up The Wazoo!

Have any fellow Warriors been getting a lot of spam on Skype?

I get at least 5 instant messages/day saying "Hello! Please add me to your contacts list" and then they follow up with "Sorry, I've been busy. You can catch me at my site...blah blah blah".

The only place I really have my Skype listed is here on WF but there's got to be some way they're getting all these user names, wouldn't you think?

    All you have to do to avoid that is go to your privacy settings and click on 'only allow people in my contact list to contact me'.

      I agree Dude. Just like Twitter was cool for a while then BAM, spam all over the place. They've been doing better though by suspending and taking down a lot of accounts.

    This is really a problem when you have a young child that uses your skype acoount. We did not even realize this could happen because our Skype name is not published anywhere. I think they just do searches using common names.

    Not yet but thanks for the heads up. I run a short list so hopefully it remains that way.
