    I believe that Frank Kearn aka the freakin godfather of internet marketing started with affiliate marketing and cleaned up….and his cousin make like 3 million dollars with affiliate marketing in just 24 months…

    Not a million dollars in an instant of course, but made five figures per month on average for a few years since 1998 to approximately 2005. Then took a few years break (got hooked by another venture). Now into e-commerce and consulting, don't make that much as I used to yet, but only returned in 2015.

    So yes, making OK money is possible.

    Here's an image of what I spent on advertising just on PageSeeker/ROAR (it was a popular Australia-based PPC search engine in pre-Google era) in one year. It was good, but not the top PPC engine I used (unfortunately those stats for other traffic sources are lost now). Profit margins back then were close to 100%, so you can figure out the bottom line more or less. Sometimes I didn't even bother with landing pages back then. It's different now of course, but still possible, cause market grew up incredibly as well (back in early days it was basically just USA who bought anything).
