Things do not stay fresh long on the web. It is crucial to update your site often but your updates need to be consistently of high quality. You're not just trying to get quantity of visitors you want quality. You only achieve quality traffic by offering quality content.

You can also Add opt-in pop-ups and Make a consistent scheduling calendar for your blog articles.
Consistency is a major key for success whatever is your goal.

I wish you the best of luck in your sales.

Build a mailing list and send updates to your list when you have a new blog post or new item on your site

Of course, you need to optimize your content so people would WANT to share your stuff.

Give people an incentive for signing up to your list (maybe offer 'list members only' specials)

If you're looking for immediate traffic, you should do some Facebook ads. You can get laser targeted for whatever your demographic is, as well as build a retargeting campaign for local peoples as well! Just remember that it's best to start small with $5-10 per day and then scale up from there

I hope that helps and good luck!

      Hi gooddegg,

How can you ignore the most obvious place to get targeted traffic?

SEM is the killer traffic source for most eCommerce businesses. With AdWords alone you can achieve up to 95% market reach. No other source of traffic is comparable, no other traffic source will generate more sales. Paid traffic not only has higher conversion rates, it accounts for nearly two thirds of all clicks on keywords with high commercial intent.

Now for some real actual data:

      Source: https://moz.com/ugc/true-or-false-or...etter-than-ppc

Source: Is Google AdWords Effective? 10 Reasons to Use AdWords for Marketing | Wordstream

As you can see from the data of real actual results nearly 2/3 of all clicks on high commercial intent keywords go to PPC ads, and on average the PPC traffic converts at a rate more than 60% higher than that of organic clicks, so it is quite common to get 3 times the revenue from PPC as is possible to achieve via organic.

If you ignore PPC, you are ignoring 75% of your potential customers.

While it is true that ppc can be effective with conversions when done right... things have changed quite a bit since 2008-2009.

OP, you may consider trying out some other PPC companies before adwords. Likely cheaper to test your conversions.

Are you using paid promotions on social media? Like others have said, facebook ads... pinterest? twitter? I would imagine you'd get some of your best traffic from those three being a furniture store.

Have you looked at your competitors? See where they're getting their traffic from. Try some of the tools available for this. Spyfu for example.

        Good luck!

  • You should have a retargeting pixel on your site from Facebook or one of the big retargeting sites like AdRoll. Even if you don't plan on spending money on retargeting right now, you want to be logging all those folks who are visiting right now in case you want to retarget later. Often your warmest prospects will be people who have visited your site in the past, decided not to buy at that time, and just need a tiny reminder in the form of a retargeting advertisement following them around the web or showing up in their facebook newsfeed.

The tactics you're using mostly are not valid. You should come up with new off page link building ideas to boost internet traffic. Like Broken link building, guest blogging, etc.

If you need help you can PM me.

I think you are doing great already. You just need to focus on social media since you can find a good target market out there. Try also advertising on your target area like a simple sticker and tarpaulins. The basics never grows old.

Are you sure that "pornographic submission" is appropriate for this product niche?

You'd be a hit with the 'splinters-in-really-sensitive-areas' fetish people, though.

On a serious note, OP, people who buy wicker furniture, do they subscribe to magazines about wicker furniture? If yes, someone's got a list of names and addresses of such people, and you can send them postcard offers and such.

Do you have a profile of your ideal buyer? Where does he/she live online? Offline? Where can you find them? If you know that, you can place ads/send them offers.

Very good that you are using multiple ways. Beside these you can use the Social Media site & Relevant Blog commenting & so on. In the Social Media site, you can use the Facebook, Twitter, tumblr or, some other site like this. Today most of the people are passing their gossiping time by using Social Media site. Thanks.

      Have you tried Facebook ads?

You can find other popular wicker furniture stores and see what the demographics are and really laser target your audience.

Also, not sure if you are local or nationwide...but post card marketing works very well...its old school...but works.

And if there are magazines in your market, that is honestly the first place I would look...because people who read those magazine are your best targets.

      I hope this helps

In my opinion, you have to change the way you're thinking about digital marketing if you want different results.

The web is no longer a mass marketing conglomerate of opportunity. It's now about hyper-specificity, fulfilling desires and engaging with your audience.

Yes, it takes some work now.

That means you have to learn:

    1. What are the "specific" desires you are passionate about fulfilling?
    2. What are the tangible values your customers experience and how do they feel about the experience?
    3. What are the "specific" desires you offer for each tangible value?
    4. Who are you "specifically" fulfilling each desire for (in detail)?
    5. How are your products or services "a" part of "a" creating or fulfilling the desire?

Then you have to message to your audience from the answer very specifically.

If you're not willing to put this level of work in, then you I would recommend you play in the pay-per-click arena on Facebook and Google.

But even then, you still need to have a message when they get to your site.

On this page of my site have some specific studies, videos and ideas that might be of help to you:
