Stupid blogger question

Ok how do we find out how many veiws our blogs and posts get on bloger>? Can't find anything on the site'!

    I'm sure there's a bunch of ways to go about this, but what I did was sign up with Statcounter.com and put the HTML code they give on to my blog. If you're interested, I can go more into detail about how to do this.

      I use sitemeter.com, the free version is more than enough. All you have to do is setup the account and put the html anywhere on the blog. It will track your visitors, where they come from, their internet provider, if they clicked on any of your links (good for tracking click-through's).

    Kool both sound easy enough. Is it a case of literally just putting the html in the blog somewhere and also once you have an account can you use the same code different sites/domains?

    oh ok well i was gonna sign up for google analytics earlier as it happens.

    So in say a blogger post where would i put the code so it doesd the job but doesnt appear on the blog.

    Is this the same for any webpage you want it to track?

    Using Analytics you could put the code in your footer on your "layout" screen in Blogger.
    Once in your blog, it will track all hits to your blog.

    Then at the Analytics menu, you can see which posts were getting hits and where they are coming from with the keywords used.

    No, again you would want to put it in a file or part of the page that travels with every post. Like the footer.

    thanks Matt. Wordpress and IM newbie as you can tell! Just got to grips with getting a basic site up and running so now adding all the other tools like analysis tools like this!
