How Much Should I Charge as a Copywriter (Big Project)?

I've been presented with a big opportunity to write copy for a big client. They're gearing up for a big product launch and they want me to write copy for the pre-launch emails (30+), social media, the sales letter page, the thank you page, etc. Basically, everything.

This is my first big collaboration with a company and it could be career-making for me. The problem is I don't know how much to charge. I normally charge per article but this goes beyond the scope of what I usually do and I'm at a loss for how to valuate that kind of project.

My questions are (1) how do I calculate what to ask for and (2) how do I justify the cost?

Thank you to anyone who can help me with this.

I would try to get hired on the full-time basis as a sub-contractor.. The price range really depends from you, your skills, connections and experience..

    around $4-6k/month with a 6 months contract :?

    ---

.. I'm talking from my experience - these are the contracts that help me to be productive and have a peace of mind (I'm on 24 months contract right now in a bit different niche).

It's for a product that's launching in March, so there are going to be tight deadlines but I don't mind that. I arrived at a similar number when I did the calculations. Do you think I should ask for a percentage of the gross revenue as well?

Also, any advice on how to structure the proposal?

so when you wrote your business plan out...what were your fees?

Why on earth are you even asking?

I was applying for a job and I was recommended after working on a project with a mutual friend. I've never had fees because I've only recently started freelancing and have been working on an article by article basis.

How much revenue are they targeting to bring in for the launch period?

Get them to come up with that figure.

Then bill 5-10% of that. They came up with the total, and your number is directly connected to theirs, so they'll "get it".

Here's a video I made a few years back explaining the concept:

    from the thread:

Most people price way too low, and base their price on fiction.

It's a really difficult situation. Maybe you could consider working hourly. You can track the time you work via some time tracking services. But I'm not sure it's relevant for this exactly type of contract.
Why isn't it possible for you to call the price for the articles, divide your work on a few periods and charge at the end of each period?
