Use one site for product sales or many?

Let's say you created a few products all within the same niche. Is it better to use individual sites with different domain names to sell each product, or can you use one site domain with individual pages to sell each products?

For instance:

3 Products

1) mysiteproduct1.com
2) mysiteproduct2.com
3) mysiteproduct3.com

-or-

1) mysiteproducts.com/product1
2) mysiteproducts.com/product2
3) mysiteproducts.com/product3

Is there any advantage or dissadvantage as far as SEO between the two methods?

    Either works. You have to decide how many sites you can handle.

    I will say this, I had only one large site with a lot of subfolders for years. When there was a google "shake up" as I call it, my site would lose its traffic for a while. Not good for business.

    Now that I have several sites, I like it better. If one goes down in where it is in the search engine pages, the others are working away. If one does not get many searches on the keywords used, maybe the other ones will.

    You can also send your list to all the sites, at different times. It helps keep them focused on your particular keywords and offer.

    So, I don't think it is wise to have only one site, but how many you have is up to you.

    With that said, always focus on one, till you get it going well, before you move on to the next.

    My recommendation: pick whichever one is easiest for you to do right now and go with that. Especially if you're new (you're new here, I'm making a guess you're newish to marketing), there are so many things for you to focus on / worry about, this is the least of your concerns. Grab a domain, throw a site up there, and get busy. Once you have created a bunch of products and they're all churning out sales left and right, you can sit back and mull over the best way to organize them.
