Traffic for deals / bargains website

Hi, I've just launched my deals / bargains website this week. The website looks awesome and can be of great value to people. Affiliate marketing will be my primary source of income hopefully.

I just wanted some advice on the best way to gain traffic / exposure for this particular kind of website. I have a Facebook / Twitter page set up so far. I was considering paying for Facebook ads initially. I will also look at building a list and a blog in the near future.

Other than this, I'm not too sure how else I can get the word out there with fairly quick results. I'd like to increase my social media following and website traffic. I've read about posting in forums and groups, but don't want to be as seen as being spammy. Any advice would be appreciated, many thanks.

Who is your target audience, where do they congregate? Facebook? Some forums? Do they search Google for what you sell? Do they even go online?

Answer that question and you'll know where to focus.

Have you plugged competitor sites into a tool like similarweb to see where their traffic is coming from?

The market research which you did to verify niche demand for your service tells you exactly where your most targeted prospects can be found. Focus your marketing efforts on your targeted buyers.

If you do not target your marketing campaigns, you will be wasting your time and money trying to get interest in your offers from the wrong people.

Yeah thing I have learned with social media is people don't like to be sold to. Your branding yourself so share fun useful content and have people contact you about your business! Every now and then show post of new leads or sales.

PPC works very well especially to test conversions before you unleash it..

You are going to get some good advice on how to market online. Just know this:

You want each traffic source that you use to track your conversions. If you are building a list, you want to know how many leads you are getting from each source. You don't want to shoot in the dark and not know which places work for you and which ones don't.

Once you know which places convert for you, you can scale and get rid of the the places that don't convert.

    Example:

Some places will sell you clicks for a small fee (5,000 visitors for $49). These don't work very well and are just computer generated traffic.

Again, where ever you buy traffic, track to see conversions.

Email marketing campaigns tend to be one of the best traffic sources in this kind of website.

I can write you Persuasive Web Content that turns leads into customers for as low as $0.02 per word.

You want to compete with giants such as RetailMeNot?

My suggestion is to have super targeted keywords, specifically low competition keywords.

There are tons of products offering affiliate program, you can target "product + coupon" or similar.

But for hosting keywords such as "namecheap + coupon", you're gonna have tough time competing with established websites.
