Does anyone have good links to YouTube guides for starting and promoting a channel that is updated with information accurate for 2016?

I am considering starting a channel ( I have over 150 videos ready to go ) but I want to make sure I do it right so the videos get found.

    Sadly, too many would be YT entrepreneurs step into the machine gun fire of heavy competition when they could have made a few tweaks to their vids and end up actually making money.
