If you've been flogging Yahoo Answers for traffic, there's a way you can get PAID to answer and possibly bring awareness to a brand you're promoting. Check out quora. They've been around forever but they recently announced they will be paying people to answer using their "Knowledge Prizes" system.

Before you jump in, make sure you analyze the program with RETURN ON EFFORT clearly in mind.

Could the same thing be applied here ...

It's interesting how Quora manages (even before this) to bring out the best quality answers in people compared to similar platforms and forums.

    • This incentivized program, I suspect, is their way of keeping their marketshare of eager sources of authoritative or credible info.

This may be in response to the rise of alternative crowdsharing platforms specifically targeting mobile models.
  • I've been playing on Quora for fun and profit for awhile now. If I can up the 'profit' part doing what I'm doing anyway, all the better.
  • Is there an easy way to find all of the "Knowledge Prizes" posts? Or do you have to stumble along blindly to find them lol?

    (Total Quora newb here).

Also, are you allowed to promote your URL in your profile/posts, or not?

(I've heard conflicting reports on this issue. And from what I recall it's hard to contact quora support lol).

    Good find though.

  • Where did you find that information? I'm a person who answer in Quora almost every day and I didn't find it.
  • I have many posts in the QUORA. Will I be able to get paid for the past post? There are many answer is UPVOTED in the Quora. How can I know about it?

  • I suspect this is going to earn Quora a lot more backlinks.......

which might lead to MORE TRAFFIC

More traffic can, of course, lead to MORE REVENUES.
  • I love quora. One of the best places to read quality information. Quite a simple concept as well.

    • Quora's system seems geared towards consistent contributors. It appears its system is hard to game than simple volume-based (ie., your answers get lots of likes/thumbs up) systems.

but if it works why some people said that they did not get paid for their answers ?
