Hi Lance,

he is no longer a member of WF... From my limited knowledge of the situation, Steve was involved with Richard Driver on a joint venture.

There was also an incident with a membership site he was running where he apparently failed to deliver despite being paid. I can't say from experience if this is the case, but there was a massive thread about it in the old forum... I don't know if that has now been deleted.

He was a client of mine for graphic work and during the incident he became upset with me for not taking sides.

I haven't checked out his blog in a while, but if you want the address PM me... you might be able to contact him via the site.

Why would he be using it for hype? Give me a break, he's not selling a damn thing and there's no harm whatsoever in using the term. He's just wondering where a long lost warrior has gone. I guarantee most people here took it as creative more than anything else.

But when I posted the thread title, I didn't stop to think that some Warriors may have first hand experience with missing children. Having 3 (almost 4) of my own kids, I could think of no greater personal catastrophe than having one of them abducted. Maybe Jay's life has been affected by a child abduction. I don't know. But I see where someone could be sensitive to it. My use of it wasn't to be insensitive, or hypey (is that a word?). But I humbly apologize if anyone was offended.

I simply used it because I figured everyone would know that I was looking for a specific Warrior.

Don't apologise; basing your actions on what other people might or might not find offensive is a recipe for driving yourself insane. (Besides, while most countries have a similar system (some even based on the Amber Alert system), the actual term "Amber Alert" is pretty meaningless outside of North America so take heart that 99.94% of the world would likely not get the reference anyway.

Hi Scott,

I once started a thread with the subject "HeartAttack Marlon Sanders" I truely didn't think about it. The post simply said that he was so animated and excited when giving a presentation that he might have a heart attack someday.

People were clicking on that thinking he had a heat attack, which was not my message at all. I changed it when I realized how it affected people.

Yet you're still taking flak for creating deceiving titles elsewhere today...

What is a 'heat attack' anyway Scott? Is it like a really bad hot flush? If so, my advice is to jump in a lake.
