  • I think I landed a big writing job, somewhere in the neighborhood of $1,500. I was incredibly excited. I never thought you could make so much money from writing alone. My biggest worry was that my PayPal account would somehow get suspended for receiving so much money. Of course, to PayPal these amounts are perhaps the norm, but for me it was a big deal.

    • Cool article, thanks for sharing

I got some good ideas from it to make money from how to choose niches, funnel and how to advertise it via Facebook.

For me, my first $300 was from selling a website 5 years ago, it was really a quality site with a decent traffic and I sold it for money. After that I developed more websites for sale and its still working at this time, but this niche required more efforts and time than doing IM or Affiliate marketing to earn money.
  • Just like Rose said above :

Writing , writing and more writing.
    • [ 2 ] Thanks
  • Writing articles in 1999 for Themestream. Doubt anyone here remembers that site but it paid well for a while.
  • I also made with affiliate marketing and i love that. Just stay home and money will come. Sounds good?

  • I made my first $300 when I was 16 years old using Google AdSense.

I made about $1500 my first year.
  • I made my first $100 with an old blog I had that I ran Adsense ads on. My first $300 most likely came from selling products on this forum a couple of years ago.

  • I started with SEO traffic and Adsense. Eventually I moved on to selling ebooks. Tried out some Amazon affiliate selling along the way but didn't stick with it.

    • $327 on Flippa back in 2011. That was a god start for me in the IM industry
  • All I did was pick a winning high converting offer and sent traffic to it with solo ads.
  • Selling my own high ticket information products online
  • It's been 10 years since that happened. Back then I was an affiliate for webhosting plans and just created AdWords ads and sent traffic directly to webhosting companies. It was so easy back then...Today things are different but people are still earning money..lots of it. For a beginner the right affiliate program is the way to go.
  • The first $300 I made online was on YouTube. I became affiliated with Spreadshirt and got in touch with the owner of a high viewed YouTube channel. I simply asked him if he would be interested in providing his viewer base with the shirts I was selling and he was trilled about providing his viewer base with something. He simply put a link in his annotations and description and I ended up making an easy $2k. True story.

    • Last year I promoted CPA offers and luckily one of them converted really well at that time with commissions of more than $300. The challenge I found with online marketing is that the field is so dynamic with things changing all the time - trying to keep up with it.
  • I did my first $450 online on ThemeForest with just 1 single psd template, it's not internet marketing but was the first time I made money online.
  • I made my first $300 selling affiliate websites.
  • Flipping collectible toys on ebay.
  • [DELETED]
  • I Did it via affiliate marketing also, but I also use advertising now, CPM and CPC.
  • I have never made anything with affiliate marketing. Most money I have made is from Ebay, YouTube and email marketing. Some direct selling on Facebook as well.
  • I made first $300 from Facebok by increase lot's of likes for a FB page from a specific region. I was very much impressive doing that. Because that was my first online earning.

  • I made my first $300 online by working as a freelance web developer.
I remember how hard it was to get my first project. Had to do a $200 project for just $30...ah, the good old days!
  • The very first sale online was for $500 that I made by advertising on Microsoft ads (Now Bing) that cost 75 cents for the click.
    • [1] reply
    • I must say, not a bad ROI
  • How I made my first $300 was quite a while ago, and somewhat irrelevant to what is working now at a level more like $300 a day.

I constructed some sales funnels, tested them, and then figured out what my average earnings were from a new customer.

    Then I worked out
    1) a few free strategies to promote them. Maybe 20 minutes a day spent on these.
    2) some paid strategies where I spend much less than the average income I get.
    3) once I got those things worked out I just constantly reinvest a fraction of my income in order to repeat the process.

This business is so simple. It amazes me sometimes how so many people get off track by trying all sorts of tricky strategies, or waste years of their time trying to figure out free methods.
  • My first $300 came from an Affiliate Marketing course, with free traffic.

It was my first serious effort and proved to me that there is money to be made from Affiliate Marketing.

It's an ongoing learning process though.
  • Something tells me that you started this thread to plug your own signature. But regardless...

I'll tell you how I made my first $30,000 online. Selling established websites. Established, being the key word there. I know "flipping domains" is all the rage these days with the gurus, but there's a lot more to it than buying a domain for $10 and trying to turn around and sell it.
    • [1] reply
    • I'm sure you are correct, because it's quite similar to "how to make $100, $1000, 10,000 online " etc & yet this thread is still here
  • Best way is affiliates, without any hard work on your part.
    • [1] reply
    • Affiliate marketing. I had at that time a pretty simple reviews website that started making money on its first week, so yes, I owe everything I made online to that simple little website and to affiliate marketing.
  • Sponsored posts on my blog. It was good way to get started, but not very scalable in the long term because there's a limit to how many you can do without the quality of your blog suffering.
  • I've tried many ways to make money online, and each earned a little bit : Affiliate Marketing, Youtube, blog .. . Now, I focus on Affiliate Marketing
  • I made my first 300$ at Upwork. I'm still working there. It's a great platform for webmasters!
  • Very interesting content monetized by Adsense. After that it was affiliate marketing and lead generation.
  • Made my first $300 online through Binary Options trading. The most I ever made in a day online was about $3000 and that was once again through Binary Options. I do not do Binary options trading anymore sadly .
    • [1] reply
    • Binary trading is becoming more and more popular
  • For me it was designing Wordpress websites
  • I did a Sean Connery impression of fiverr
  • My first $300 was from freelancing. Selling a service is the fastest way for a newbie to get some instant cash IMO.
  • I was a freelancer and had beginners luck when my first coding project handed me $500 in revenue.

Successive projects weren't as good as that one, but it did gave me the motivation to push on forward.
  • Hi,

I started by creating a fitness blog and posting workouts etc... I then added a list (wrong way round I know but was new) and money came from affiliate offers...

    Thanks
    Joe
  • made my first $300 selling blogger account
  • My main methods were: adsense, selling sponsorships and freelancing (if you want to count that one)
  • I made mine setting up a couple PPC ads. I didn't quite know what i was doing, but i just rinse and repeat the process....now I am basically starting over but implementing a List, Blog, new ideas etc...You really can make money online but takes a lot of time and persistence and not just jumping all over the place.
  • I made my first few 100 dollars playing online poker
  • In Fiverr i made good amount of money. Clickbank was my 2nd choice.
  • My first year online back in 2003 I made around £36,000 ($54,000). By year 4 I was doing about £250,000 ($375,000) a year.

The first money was made on eBay, but left that after 2 years to enter the world wide web, when the serious fun began.
  • I uploaded some designs on Zazzle. It took a while, but eventually the sales added up and I received my first payment of close to $300.00

Since then, I've been uploading new designs on a regular basis and playing around with my royalty rates, as well as experimenting with other POD sites.

After doing this for a couple of years, I started to make good money to the point where I was able to leave my job. I'm now a full-time POD designer.
  • I got $$$$ by starting in the adult industry, with a simple website. It was 15 years ago.... wooow

Thanks for making flash back live ..
  • About 5 - 6 years ago writing reviews about a weird robotic vacum cleaner called a Roomba and then blasting it to the top. It lasted about 8 months before it got wiped off the planet of the earth. I think my anchor text distribution for the main keyword "Roomba Reviews" was like 60%.

How I was able to go full time - client web design & digital marketing, by far the easiest way in my opinion.

  • Hello Smiglic

It seems that for most people posting here, as well as for me, it was affiliate marketing which made us our first bucks.
Usually if someone devotes enough time into affiliate marketing he is bound to make some profit.
  • I made y first monies online just recently actually....it was extremely easy to do and I actually discovered it right here on the WarriorForum! It was a revenue share thing and I'm still making $60 withdrawals per day and it only takes about 5 minutes of actual work....it was through that showed me exactly how to do it...

It was great reading about everyone's first online money making experiences!
  • yes..the money is certainly in the list

    • Really should be more like your first $3K instead of $300. With the dominance of the Internet in our daily lives and businesses of all sorts entering the Online Marketplace everyday there is just no excuse anymore

First Sale was Warrior Peter Drews recurring software what a rush that was. From a simple Squidoo Lens Review then all I did was use the bookmarks function for digg delcious etc. Done.

First OMG Cash in the thousands was definitely unique eBook which led to buyers list in the thousands that I had no idea how to promote to at the time.

These days I would tell a newbie to be prepared for what you wish for you just might get it.

Creativity, discipline, organization, and networking all working together will really enhance your long range marketing goals.

  • That's very good selling high ticket products you can really make a loot of money and you don't have to make so many sales
    • [1] reply
    • well, selling high ticket stuff can be good,

but you need a different brain, and you need to find a different audience.

So, for some it can be good, and very profitable. But you have to approach it alot different.

I mean, I think you have it wrong, if you think you can sell a $897 course to a $7 crowd.

It just does not work like this when you selling stuff online. Especially high ticket stuff.

      Just saying.

It simply shows that money is everywhere as long as we work for it.
I made my first $300 from Adsense and selling products from Clickbank years ago..
  • Hello their my friend! I made mine through affiliate marketing. I also made my first $300 online the same way i made my first $1,000 online. Becoming a partner of the most trusted online marketer and copied his tried and tested formula ). Most people become overwhelmed with all the noise on the internet. You must be focused and channel your energy and become laser focused. Just like a diet, most will work if you keep at it long enough and don't do more than one at once. You can't be on the Atkins, paleo, vegetarian and twinkly diet all at once, if wouldn't work't won't work. but most people fall prey to this when starting something new.
"The man who chases two rabbits, catches neither." ~ Confucius.
Pick up a product, niche and one or two ways to generate traffic. Learn the fundaments, learn your product. When you start seeing results keep at at and slowly build your arsenal or knowledge and implement it into your business. Become truly knowledgable in your field. the more you learn the more you earn.
    Hope this helps my friend.
  • Flipping collectible toys on eBay
  • I made my first $300 on eBay selling a 2 horseracing systems. It was a pain in the are burning them to disc but it worked.

I then found a simple way to siphon traffic from eBay and sold it pretty much on autopilot via a download.

It's actually a very easy way to make money. Plus if you are targeting high search keywords you are getting hundreds of clicks for one $0.20 or whatever listing fee.

Not to mention your leads are pretty much ultra targeted and looking to buy when they hit your listing.

  • My First earning was earn by the Facebook & youtube. Still I can remember about that earnings. Thanks for your advance
  • Selling stuff on eBay was the easiest way to start for me,

    Cheers,

    Jon.
  • I got it from different sites. Doing small tasks on Freelancer.com, submitting contents for Yurtopic.com (site gone now), Bubblews.com (gone as well). Mainly from writing tasks from random websites that accept my work. I was still a teenager then.
  • I made mine through affiliate marketing as well. I build a wordpress site and wrote about 10-15 articles which i uploaded about 2 per week.

Each article was uniquely written with on page SEO including not so competitive keywords in the niche my site was about.

All the articles had a link to a Clickbank product that's related to the niche of my site.

After about 3 months, i started seeing sales. But that didn't last long because i had lost interest in creating more content for a niche i wasn't so keen on, and switched my focus to applying paid traffic to build my list, which i felt would be better for a long term business to build upon.
