How To Create A New Website in Less Than 5 Minutes

In the past, creating a website is only possible for someone who is having programming skills such as PHP, HTML and Java. But things begin to change in the current days whereby anyone can start create their own website with just using click and drag-and-drop. It would just as simple as using Microsoft Word.

To begin the journey of creating a new website, open a web browser and type in your domain name address such as http://www.yourdomainname.com and add /cpanel after the domain name address. Then press "Enter".

A control panel or in short is called cpanel page of your web hosting would appear. Login authentication is required. Use the login details given to you when you register your web hosting to access the cpanel.

After login successfully into the cpanel, there would be a lot of features would be displayed. Do not get overwhelm by them. Just head over to "Software and Services" and look for "QuickInstall" under it. Click on the "QuickInstall" to get started.

Right now, you would be at the "QuickInstall" page if the previous steps were done correctly. Click on "WordPress".

Now look for "Install WordPress" button and click on it.

Now you would be at the website details filling page. Put in the domain name you want your website to be installed. If you want to install your website in a subdirectory instead of your main domain, then put in a subdirectory name you desired. In this example, I create a subdirectory name called "mywebsite" and the website would be created in that subdirectory. If want to install the website in the main domain, then leave the subdirectory field empty.

Put in your email that you wish to receive your login details for your website admin page in the "Admin Email" field. The name you wish to appear for your website you need to enter in "Blog Title" field. Put in the admin username you wish to use for access your website admin page in "Admin User" field. Lastly, put in your first name and last name in the "First Name" and "Last Name" field.

After all required details are filled in, press the green button "Install WordPress" to begin the website installation.

A new website is now successfully created. Access it by typing the location where you install the website. In this example, the website is installed in a subdirectory instead on the main domain itself. So the new website is visible at domain name/subdirectory.

I wish I saw this when I first got started online.

I'm an extreme technophobe so even WordPress was discouraging to me initially, and I played around with Weebly for a bit.

Nice share, David. I'm sure there are others here who appreciate this as well (pictures are worth a thousand words, after all).

    Regards,
    Daniel

    AS GOOD AS IT SOUNDS......

I dun really thing that's done in 5 minutes
from the scratch, but yes it doesn't take long
to create a website if you know what you
    are doing....

Setting up an empty website can be done very
quick but then to maintain and keep it going
takes a long time and also building an audience
and trying to bring in traffic can take longer....

Saying this can be done in 5 min is impossible but
if you said and hour then I can just about believe you...
