The current keyword tool, does that provide information on "exact searches" for the keyword entered? I remember some years ago, keyword tool could be used for "broad searches" as well as "exact search" and another type of search (I don't recall the name of it). On the current tool, for what particular type of search is the information relayed?

    You can search for exact match by using [keyword] and phrase match by using "keyword". The keyword by itself without any modifiers is broad.

    The above is assuming you are talking about the forecasts section. If you are talking about the other sections, it is already exact match for the historical data shown.

    The new Google Keyword Planner gives out exact match results as default. It's useful as a guide but to find those easy to rank for high converting long tail phrases I prefer using Google Suggest.

    Play around with different keywords and you can uncover some very profitable terms that have very little competition.
